The Pixel Watch 2 is available for a straightforward $224 purchase.

Will Google’s wearable lineup finally shine with this new addition, but the previous generation still warrants consideration. When you acquire it for as little as $224 ($26 off), that’s a remarkable offer considering its original starting price.

Although the second-generation Pixel Watch introduces numerous enhancements, including a larger and brighter display, a new 44mm size, AI-powered fitness strategies, and offline Google Maps functionality, it still boasts an attractive design. Available solely in a single 41-millimeter dimension, the usable screen space is approximately 10% smaller compared to its predecessor, the third-generation model. The smartwatch also employs the same Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 5 Gen 1 processor, but it forgoes the ultra-wideband component that enables seamless pairing with nearby Pixel devices and select BMW vehicles.

While efficiency between the two models shares an analogy, battery life on the 41mm versions is remarkably similar, with approximately 24 hours of usage per charge. While the Watch 2 offers exciting updates like enhanced exercise features and a significantly brighter display with Wear OS 5 capabilities, you may find yourself missing out on these innovative advancements. While some may not find the upgraded features of this smartwatch justifying its higher price point, we still recommend considering the previous model as a more affordable option.
