Together, our evaluation and market analysis have yielded the following outcomes. The global survey explored the preferences, expectations, and obstacles faced by end-users of cellular automation. The corporation conducted a comprehensive survey of 300 stakeholders, including patrons and customers of cell robots, encompassing a diverse range of company sizes, industries, and geographic locations.
The survey aimed to elucidate the current and future adoption of cell robots, identify key drivers influencing purchasing decisions, and highlight both challenges and benefits associated with deploying mobile automation.
Large-scale manufacturers typically come equipped with cell robots.
Cell robotic adoption is gaining momentum across various sectors, with a varying pace of growth depending on the industry. Nearly all respondents (95%) reported leveraging cellular automation technologies to streamline their operations, including the adoption of automated forklifts, platforms, conveyors, and autonomous cell robots. The proportion varied significantly depending on firm size and industry.
Firms with revenues exceeding $1 billion are significantly more likely to deploy mobile robots compared to their smaller counterparts. Companies operating within the automotive, electrical, and semiconductor sectors have demonstrated a greater propensity to leverage mobile robots, distinct from retailers, third-party logistics providers, or other industries.
A staggering 71 percent of respondents revealed that while they have made progress in automating workflows using cellular robots, significant opportunities remain for further enhancement and expansion.
As emerging technologies continue to gain traction, one of the most widely discussed trends among clients has been the rapid growth of applied sciences, particularly in the realm of cellular automation.
Additionally, clients lacked a solid understanding of the VDA 5050 protocol for communication. Only 20% of respondents reported being entirely aware of this trend, while just 8% indicated that it was or would soon become a decisive factor in their purchasing decisions.

The “Evaluation’s survey found that price and integration difficulties emerged as the primary obstacles and motivators driving cellular robot adoption, with both factors serving as key considerations for both skill sets and vendor choices. A common obstacle to implementing cell robots is the perceived high cost or uncertain return on investment (ROI), closely followed by concerns about environmental factors such as floor suitability, space constraints, and climate considerations.
While many consumers do not exhibit loyalty towards a specific cellular robot model or brand, according to recent survey findings. In place of this approach, they would opt to partner with multiple manufacturers and providers catering to diverse workflows and service offerings.
Typically, participants cited 3.4 distinct cell robotics manufacturers, while a total of 123 unique manufacturers were mentioned across all responses, highlighting the market’s fragmentation and diversity.
The AGILE framework was widely adopted by numerous organizations, including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. Despite this, responses varied significantly depending on industry and profession; detailed analysis of these findings will be shared in a forthcoming report.
While prospects acknowledged a preference for utilizing the same cell robotic manufacturer across various workflows within the same building, this preference was not necessarily extended to different buildings or service areas within their network. Clients generally lack enthusiasm for seamless robotic integration within a single premises.
When selecting a vendor, key factors include the seller’s reputation file, integration expertise, and local support, followed by the stability and scale of the provider. While value and product quality may have historically played a secondary role to the seller’s reputation and reliability in driving customer loyalty, the study revealed that this dynamic has shifted significantly over time.
Despite their presence, Chinese language distributors remained a largely overlooked option among clients, with a mere 20% of respondents indicating that they had utilized or contemplated utilizing their services in the future? Typical reasons why companies often overlook Chinese distributors include concerns about security, logistical hurdles, legal complexities, and regulatory obstacles.

Before making a purchase decision, customers expected to witness the automation system’s capabilities firsthand through a live demonstration at their premises, a visit to a reference site, or a trip to the provider’s dedicated demonstration center. During the procurement and deployment process, the most prevalent pain points have been slowed operations, challenging route planning and task assignments, and integration issues with internal software systems.
As soon as robotics became operational, the most prevalent pain points emerged: unpredicted maintenance needs, costly downtime, and excessive manual intervention requirements.
