The inventor of Apache Flink and a renowned expert in real-time data streaming has unveiled plans to deploy the “Carry Your Own Cloud” (BYOC) capability on the Ververica Streaming Knowledge Platform, further enhancing its offerings.
At Flink Ahead, the corporation unveiled its vision for a Bring Your Own Cluster (BYOC) deployment option in Berlin, marking a significant milestone in its annual gathering dedicated to Apache Flink and the data streaming community.
By the end of November 2024, the brand-new deployment option is expected to become available, offering a managed Apache Flink experience that leverages customers’ existing cloud infrastructure to unlock the full flexibility and scalability of Veraverica’s Streaming Data Platform. As the launch takes place, our BYOC deployment will first become available to customers running on AWS infrastructure, with a swift expansion planned for other major cloud providers, including Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
Built on the corporation’s robust engine, the bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC) deployment of the Streaming Knowledge Platform enables customers to design, develop, and stream real-time applications with confidence, while seamlessly integrating with the security posture of their existing cloud environments. Ververica’s BYOC solution is a proprietary, in-house creation that embodies the principles of Zero Trust architecture, ensuring data sovereignty and ownership for users, as their confidential information is safely stored in cloud environments under their direct management.
Vladimir Jandreski, Chief Product Officer at Ververica, noted: “As organizations increasingly seek flexibility and security in their cloud infrastructures, we’re delighted to unveil a solution that finds the perfect equilibrium.” With our innovative solution, customers can optimize their existing investments by integrating a robust, zero-trust security framework that eliminates vulnerabilities and ensures seamless protection. This innovative solution has the potential to revolutionize the way companies balance agility with sound management and robust safety protocols.
BYOC seamlessly integrates with an organization’s existing technology infrastructure, eliminating any potential disruptions or compatibility issues. That’s particularly beneficial for seamlessly integrating with contemporary DevOps tools and processes, CI/CD pipelines, and other critical tools, ensuring faster software development lifecycles with minimal downtime. The platform’s scalability enables companies to optimize both real-time and batch workloads efficiently, thereby sustaining the value-effectiveness of their cloud strategy without compromise.
As Alexander Walden, CEO of Ververica, notes: “At Ververica, we’re committed to enabling customers to unlock the value of their streaming data, ensuring they achieve tangible, out-of-the-box business results compared to using open-source Apache Flink.”
“Building on the strength of open-source Flink, our innovative BYOC deployment delivers speeds up to twice as fast, marking a significant step in our ongoing efforts to provide customers with flexible, high-performance, and secure stream processing solutions.”
