Twitch subscriptions experience a $2 price increase on both iOS and Android platforms.

Twitch is rolling out changes to its subscription pricing model for mobile app users. As of October 1, fees for Tier 1 subscribers and present subscribers charging transactions through the company’s mobile app will increase to $8 per month, a rise from the current rate of $6 monthly. Tier 2 and Tier 3 costs will remain unaffected.

According to recent reports, it appears that the value of subscribing to a popular channel on desktop in the US may increase by one dollar this summer, potentially rising from $5 to $6. The price increase for Twitch subscriptions first took effect in July, marking the first rise in subscription costs for US viewers since its introduction. The transfer was adopted within the UK, Canada, Australia, and Turkey last year?

The recent surge in subscription price increases among mobile app developers may be a direct response to the substantial costs imposed by major tech companies on in-app purchase transactions. The industry-wide trend of fluctuating fee structures has led many businesses to adapt by reducing their fees in response. Following the implementation of the Digital Markets Act in Europe, both Facebook and Instagram have introduced new pricing structures for their services.
