As the midterms approach, many of us are no doubt feeling overwhelmed by the constant stream of political ads and messages flooding our social media feeds, email inboxes, and even television screens.

Some iPhone users may have opened the app merely to find an insistent, unremovable black toggle occupying their screen, where electoral vote tallies for the 2024 presidential election quietly incremented. When I access my iPhone’s Dynamic Island feature, I’m presented with an unexpected experience. Tapping on it merely expands the display to provide a wealth of information about the race, including small, hand-drawn portraits of the candidates – not exactly what I’m looking for if I simply wanted to dismiss the notification altogether and return to normal functionality.

To permanently remove the Electoral School notification from your iOS device, follow these steps.

Go to your . Choose your direction wisely, opting to explore the uncharted territory beneath your feet. Swipe down to access the application. Click on on . Flip off the toggle . The hell-toggle ought to vanish.

Disable the “Enable Dwell Actions” option if you want to remove the electoral reliance toggle.

If you want to relaunch the app, simply reactivate it and then open it again. Click on the gear icon located at the top-right corner of the page to access your settings. Should I choose to permit stay updates from the presidential election? You’ll likely need to click on “Begin Presidential Exercise” underneath.

Apparently, the additional toggle exists for Hell, which can be dismissed through your iOS settings similarly. I’m unfamiliar with that specific issue, but I’ll improve the text in a different style:

Without personal experience of the Apple information toggle, I remain ignorant.
