What are the top drone companies globally?

The global drone industry is rapidly evolving, with innovative drone lighting companies continually expanding the realm of possibilities. Breaking news highlights the latest developments in the world’s most significant drone exhibitions. Fireworks are being attached to flying robots. They’re drawing big crowds.

The largest drone manufacturers that cater to corporate clients include DJI, with a market share of around 70%, followed by Autel, Yuneec, and Skydio.

The SPH Engineering firm, renowned for its drone development prowess, has recently published a research report highlighting the top global drone manufacturing companies. According to a joint report by our organization and market analysis group Duamentes World Alliance, published in June 2024, we studied data from 1,000 drone exhibitions across 62 countries.

The industry’s top drone manufacturers were subsequently categorized by geographic region. Listed below are these names:

North America has emerged as a pioneer in drone displays, boasting impressive achievements across various indicators. With an astonishing 1,000+ drone exhibitions recorded in just the past year alone, it’s now easy to come across a drone show. Try searching online for a therapist near your location – and surprisingly, it’s relatively easy to find one.

Attracting attention are they? In the sweltering heat of summer 2024, theme parks took to showcasing stunning drone displays. Several concerts took place within the United States, including CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular, a nighttime show at Universal Studios Orlando. Meanwhile, a nearby attraction dubbed “Disney Dreams That Take Flight” has been captivating audiences in record numbers.

As demand surges, numerous North American drone service providers capitalize on the opportunity. Sky’s parts are the largest. It may well be no coincidence that the same workforce helped power my inaugural drone presentation, a milestone marked by a .

The sky’s canvas was gently painted with the soft glow of dusk, as the drone floated serenely in its assigned position. The event set a Guinness World Record by staging an astonishing 40 drone displays over the course of a single weekend, achieving this remarkable feat during the 2023 Fourth of July celebrations. Things have been taking on a more sophisticated tone lately. The corporation boasts an impressive array of awards, having emerged victorious in its respective category.

The prominent players in the North American drone industry include Pixis Drones and FireFly, among other notable entities.

By June 2024, estimates indicate that approximately 50 European drone service providers are in operation. One company monopolizes the market, boasting a staggering 50% share. According to the Drone Presence Market Evaluation, Dronisos accounts for a significant 48% share of all European drone exhibitions.

Based on our collaboration with Disneyland Paris, Dronisos has established itself as a prominent player in the industry, with a strong reputation built on delivering exceptional results and innovative solutions. The gallery also showcases its featured exhibitions each night, alongside rotating one-off displays. The pièce de résistance was undoubtedly the awe-inspiring display featuring 1,571 drones reconfigured to form a magnificent tricolor Mickey Mouse head, shattering the Guinness World Record for “Largest aerial show of a fictional character shaped by multirotors/drone.” 

France hosts the largest number of drone exhibitions annually among all European countries, according to the Drone Show Market Analysis.

Notable giants in the industry include UMILES Group and Drone Present Europe, boasting impressive credentials.

Asia-Pacific’s Drone Gentle Presence Corporations

While there are significantly fewer drone-present corporations in the Asia-Pacific region compared to Europe, no single company dominates the market with the same level of influence. The leading drone manufacturer in the Asia-Pacific region is Pink Cliff, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Despite these limitations, it still manages to claim a modest 33% market share.

While DAON holds a significant 26% market share, its proximity to the top players is undeniable. MIRS Innovate is widely regarded as the third-largest drone manufacturer in Asia-Pacific.

While there may be few established Indian companies specializing in drone services, it’s essential to note that BotLab Dynamics is indeed a prominent player in the industry. Founded primarily by researchers from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, the drone technology company boasts a robust research pedigree. The corporation leverages its entire portfolio of in-house products, having invested more than seven years in refining and perfecting swarm drone technology through continuous analysis and innovation.

While BotLab Dynamics faces limited competition within India, its impact is palpable globally. India achieved a milestone in January 2022 by hosting its then-largest-ever internet hosting of a drone light show, with an impressive 1,000 drones at Rashtrapati Bhavan, thereby making it the fourth country globally to successfully stage a display of this magnitude.

Centred on Japan and North Africa, numerous drone startups are quietly revolutionizing industries.

In the Middle East, drone exhibitions are truly impressive and spectacular. Typically, Centre Japan’s drone exhibitions showcase an awe-inspiring display, averaging 401 drones per show. Notably, the United Arab Emirates, home to the illustrious city of Dubai, boasts the highest number of exhibitions annually in the region.

The Middle East is home to several prominent drone delivery companies, with notable firms including New Rise Technologies, Lumasky Drone Delivery, and SkyDeck.

Drones exhibitions haven’t taken off as expected in Latin America? With only a handful of drone exhibition companies operating in the region, their displays tend to be relatively modest in scale. Small-scale manufacturers typically produce around 115 drones at present. What distinguishes the Asia-Pacific region from others is the staggering disparity in drone presence at trade shows: while it boasts massive displays of around 307 drones, the Middle East averages a remarkable 401 drones per exhibition.

In Latin America, the three drone companies with the greatest potential for growth are Aion, Magic, and Pixel Drones.
