While Jennifer Coolidge’s absence will undoubtedly be felt, Mike White has curated another impressive ensemble for Season 3 of the show, including HBO’s beloved regular, Walton Goggins. Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Jason Isaacs, and Nicholas DuVernay are among the new additions to the cast, while Natasha Rothwell, who played spa manager Brenda in Season 1, is set to return. No announcements have been made regarding agencies, but mortality is expected to be a major factor.

With Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock having faced numerous setbacks over the past decade, including a Netflix series abruptly cancelled after three seasons, a Disney reboot halted mid-production, and a writers’ strike further delaying the project. As Matt Murdock’s trusted legal advocate, his blind lawyer delivers a series of impressive courtroom victories and takes on notorious Manhattan crime lord Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin.

In a dramatic departure from his comedic roles in Atlanta, Brian Tyree Henry takes on a more serious tone in this gritty crime thriller, loosely based on Dennis Tafoya’s 2009 novel of the same name. Ray (Tyree Henry), a charismatic and resourceful individual, and Manny (Wagner Moura), a clever and calculating partner, have honed their unique strategy for acquiring prescription medications by posing as DEA agents and orchestrating daring heists on local drug dealers. As they decide to expand their fraudulent operations beyond the town’s borders, they underestimate the sophistication of the “small-time” vendors they initially exploited, only to discover that these seemingly insignificant players are actually key components of a powerful national criminal empire. Oops.

Since the nostalgic curtains closed on the Stranger Things gang, how long has passed, really? While the label may seem generous, the reality is that referring to them as “children” is, at best, a vague approximation. After nearly a decade since its premiere in the summer of 2016, the show returns for its fifth and final season. The Duffer Brothers remain tight-lipped about key details of the forthcoming season.
What’s known is that Linda Hamilton may be joining the cast; it will likely be set in the fall of 1987, a year after the events of Season 4; and the final episode, titled “The Rightside Up,” suggests a potentially happy ending might be on the horizon.
