Can regulators ever really tame the tech giants? The European Union has long been at odds with America’s biggest companies, and a decade of antitrust actions has yielded some significant victories. Here are the top 10 most notable cases: 1. Google’s search dominance (2013) ? The EU slapped Google with a $5 billion fine for unfairly favoring its own services in search results. 2. Microsoft’s browser bias (2007) ? Brussels forced Redmond to offer Windows users a choice of browsers, effectively ending Internet Explorer’s monopoly. 3. Qualcomm’s licensing fees (2018) ?
