As the ship approached the shore, a swarm of drones suddenly materialized above the water’s edge, their aerial ballet unfolding with mesmerizing precision and timing. The ships’ flags and heart motifs pay homage to Princess Cruises in both subtle and explicit ways. Princess Cruise Line’s nostalgic nods evoke the iconic 1970s-era TV series The Love Boat, whose starring role was none other than the cruise line itself. The drone presentation also featured a rendition of The Love Boat’s iconic theme music.
