Samsung set to unveil a groundbreaking tri-fold smartphone in 2023.

In a stunning move, Huawei stunned the tech world in its final year with the introduction of a groundbreaking “tri-fold” smartphone – actually a device that folds only twice. Since Samsung’s pioneering tri-fold phone hit the market, the tech world has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of a rival manufacturer’s own take on this innovative design.

According to a recent report from South Korea, the revised timeline suggests that the awaited announcement is expected to emerge within the second half of 2025. Samsung will introduce its personalized Galaxy Fold model, albeit with a limited initial supply of under 300,000 units.

It’s likely a consequence of the extremely complex manufacturing process demanded by such a tool; still, we’re convinced that Samsung will find innovative ways to improve its production capacity should the device prove exceptionally lucrative.

While the prospect of acquiring such a device might seem enticing, the reported price tag is indeed staggering, with some sources suggesting that this latest iteration of a Samsung foldable could potentially break new ground in terms of its retail value. Samsung’s new machine display is expected to be produced in-house by Samsung Display. It reportedly folds differently compared to the Huawei Mate XT, with the unfolded display not fully revealed on one side when absolutely extended. This goals to enhance sturdiness.

The display dimensions will vary significantly due to the innovative folding mechanism, measuring approximately 10.5 inches when unfolded to the left side and 12.4 inches when fully opened to the right. Unfortunately, the machine is not expected to feature an under-display camera.
