Rebar is a metal reinforcement bar employed to exert pressure within strengthened concrete or masonry constructions. In the final 12 months, Superior Building Robotics successfully debuted its second rebar-installing robot, IronBOT. While initially designed as a robotic pioneer, TyBOT autonomously resolves complex horizontal rebar intersections, while IronBOT efficiently transports, positions, and secures rebar. The IronBot can lift up to 5,000 pounds in weight. Packages weighing (22,267.9 kg) of rebar can be easily positioned in a transverse or longitudinal orientation, eliminating the need for crew members to perform heavy lifting.

IronBOT requires no upfront programming, mapping, calibration, or Building Information Modelling (BIM) integration. As soon as it’s launched on our website, it’s expected to begin functioning within a timeframe of 4 to 8 hours, according to our team. This innovative technology further streamlines rebar placement by precisely adhering to customer-specified spacing requirements.

Its adaptable design enables seamless integration into almost any construction site, allowing for swift deployment and making it a potential video game-changer for the industry.
