Samsung starts rolling out One UI 5 to Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch FE models.

What you should know

  • Samsung is reportedly pushing out the One UI 6 update for WearOS-based watches, expanding support to additional models.
  • Several European customers have observed the update as it has become available for their Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch FE devices.
  • Before its release, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Extreme made their debut with a fresh upgrade. The Galaxy Watch series received a notable upgrade last month.

Samsung continues to improve with the replacement of Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch FE models starting to arrive? The replacement, primarily based on Put on OS 5, initially released on the Samsung Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch Active 7 following their debut last summer. Last month, Samsung released the One Touch Application (OTA) update for its Galaxy Watch 5 series, and it’s now rolling out to Samsung’s older wearables as well.

In a development that has garnered attention from several European customers on Reddit, the replacement process appears to be underway for their Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch FE devices. The inconsistency in the replacement provisions appears to be a concern. Whether it’s available in your region, Samsung has reportedly made its latest Wear OS update accessible to users of the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

The rollout begins with Bluetooth-enabled smartwatches, followed by LTE variants at a later stage. At present, no official announcements or rollouts of One UI 6 Watch have been reported for Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch FE users in the United States, as of the publication date.

The new Galaxy Watch replaces features with significant enhancements, primarily focused on integrating Samsung Health and Galaxy AI capabilities seamlessly. The One UI 6 Watch offers a range of health- and fitness-related features, including heart rate monitoring, stress tracking, and guided breathing sessions. The download is enormous, clocking in at nearly 2GB in size.

Given that the Galaxy Watch series has traditionally been released annually? As anticipated, the LTE and North American variants of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch FE are expected to receive the update shortly. As the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro draws near its wider release, it’s starting to become increasingly likely that Samsung will make this premium smartwatch available globally in the coming days. The Galaxy Watch 4 series remains compatible with the latest One UI 6 Watch operating system.
