Prudential Monetary now says 2.5 million impacted by knowledge breach

Prudential Monetary, a global financial services company, disclosed that more than 2.5 million people were affected by a data breach that occurred in February, resulting in the compromise of sensitive personal information.

Based on a Form 8-K filed with the SEC? Following a suspected cybercrime group’s breach of their systems, Prudential’s Securities and Trade Fee found itself vulnerable to attacks, with attackers gaining unauthorized access to sensitive information including administrative, consumer, worker, and contractor data.

Breach claimed by ALPHV

While Prudential has yet to disclose additional information regarding the identity of the individuals responsible for the February 2024 cybersecurity incident that occurred on February 13.

ALPHV, following a shutdown of its operations, has been linked to Notchy, an affiliate responsible for the notorious Change Healthcare data breach.
