Take heed to this text

As the demand for robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) grows, opportunities emerge for suppliers to capitalize on this trend. At RoboBusiness 2024, Ilia Baranov, co-founder and CEO of Polymath Robotics Inc., is set to impart his insights and guidance.

According to a report by Fortune Enterprise Insights, the global SaaS market size reached an impressive $237.55 billion in 2023. According to the analysis agency’s forecast, the market is expected to experience a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18.4% over the next ten years, ultimately exceeding $1 trillion in value by 2032.

In 2022, Polymath Robotics’ software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering includes autonomous navigation solutions specifically designed for off-highway vehicles. The company’s San Francisco headquarters are home to its flagship product, the Polymath autonomy engine, touted as providing foundational autonomy capabilities.

According to Polymath, their engine excels at handling path planning, navigating through complex environments, and detecting and circumventing obstacles. The corporation’s team of roboticists, software engineers, and machine learning experts has developed a robust security layer featuring an auto-stop function. The company provides services to a range of sectors, including agriculture, mining, and protection industries, among its diverse client base.

Baranov will present battle-tested strategies at RoboBusiness for launching a small robotics venture as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-focused company. He will discuss what Polymath Robotics has built so far, where it’s headed, what’s happening in the funding landscape, and where the broader community is trending.

Prior to joining his current organization, Baranov oversaw robotics teams at Amazon, where he contributed to developing software for the company’s Astro home robot. As a pioneer in his field, he also contributed to the development of Clearpath Robotics from its inception. Baranov described his approach as adopting a “Swiss Army knife” mindset, where finding the fastest and most adaptable solution often takes precedence over the ideal one.
