Partnering to Amplify Constructive Influence: Join the Movement

Launched in November 2022, Partnering for Good is a global Cisco initiative designed to foster more effective collaboration between our partners, prospects, and suppliers, empowering us to drive positive transformation together.

This pioneering initiative capitalizes on a decade-plus of collaborative endeavour between Cisco and its partners, consolidating their collective impact on people, the environment, and global communities. By providing a harmonized framework, Partnering for Goal streamlines collaboration, multiplying our shared impact and embodying Cisco’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive environment for everyone?

Since its inception, the Partnering for Goal initiative has demonstrated remarkable growth, fostering a collaborative environment where Cisco and its channel partners can jointly share best practices and explore innovative approaches to drive positive impact.

Through membership with forces, we’re fostering employee engagement and amplifying our impact in diverse ways, including elevating literacy and cyber resilience among students, driving innovative solutions for environmental sustainability, and participating in staff-led volunteer initiatives to give back to our communities.

Collectively sharing knowledge and resources among individuals or organizations is often a powerful catalyst for success. Cisco, along with its companion groups across North America, Latin America, and Canada, regularly engages in week-long community service initiatives that range from assisting food banks to supporting local hospitals. These initiatives have engaged more than 200 colleague volunteers and over 450 Cisco employees, jointly dedicating in excess of 2,130 hours to community service.

At a Cisco ThousandEyes World Companion Connection event, a dedicated Partnering for Purpose session highlighted a team-building exercise in which attendees packed meals to support local communities. Cisco, ThousandEyes, and their companions came together to package 400 snack packs, providing essential sustenance to children struggling with meal insecurity in the community. Through these hands-on initiatives, we not only provide swift support, but also cultivate a profound bond between our teams and the communities we assist.

We’ve successfully pioneered innovative strategies to effectively address pressing environmental sustainability concerns. A consortium consisting of Cisco, ThousandEyes, and Orange Enterprise collaborated to organize a day-long event focused on sharing knowledge and best practices regarding climate change and environmental sustainability. This occasion examined how the convergence of knowledge and diverse expertise could facilitate clients in achieving their social and environmental sustainability goals.

During their visit to a local farm, contributors participated in hands-on activities such as juicing apples and planting shrubs, while also gaining a deeper understanding of how climate change is affecting farming methods directly.

Cisco’s APJC Distribution team devised a groundbreaking approach to boost environmental awareness by harmonizing business goals with positive brand perception. One notable instance involved a crowdfunding model designed to support the remote Aur Lang Village in Vietnam. One instance saw Cisco and Ingram Micro collaborate on a marketing initiative where, upon completion of an environmental and sustainability bootcamp and attainment of a Black Belt certification, both companies donated to Planet Ark, a prominent Australian environmental non-profit organization. As a result, more than 200 Black Belt Sustainability Certifications were presented, with a total donation of $40,000 AUD to Planet Ark, testament to the program’s significant impact.

We recognized the commitments our partners have made thus far, so we introduced a “Partnering for Impact” component within the 2023 Partner Innovation Challenge to address their concerns and align on shared objectives. This class was designed to incentivize submissions that align with a meaningful objective, resulting in a notable 68% increase in submission rates.

Witnessing the significant impact of our function on our companions’ approach to innovation is truly rewarding, as we collectively drive numerous positive effects. While Partnering for Goal may seem like a philanthropic endeavour at first glance, its benefits are undeniably sweet for businesses. By partnering on intentional projects, we simultaneously foster stronger professional ties and generate significant business value.
