Parrot has consistently showcased impressive remote-controlled flying technology, and the company is now poised to unveil its next generation of innovative drone solutions. Recently, Parrot unveiled a lineup of 13 budget-friendly mini-drones capable of traversing terrain, soaring through the skies, and navigating waterways. The company will officially launch its affordable drones, priced at no more than €200 (approximately $225 USD), in France on Thursday, July 2nd. Notwithstanding the corporation’s website had previously disclosed key highlights, let’s quickly review the new offerings.

The first model to debut is the mannequin, available in two distinct variants: Cargo (£99 ~ $111 US) and Night (£129 ~ $145 US). Each fashion weighs just 58 grams and features a 3-axis accelerometer and gyroscope. The device also features a camera capable of capturing VGA-quality photos during flight, although video recording is not available. The drone can reach speeds of up to 11mph and provide approximately nine minutes of flight time on a single charge. The Night variant features LED lights that enable nighttime flights, while the Cargo model allows for the transportation of small items between locations. Following suit is the company’s inaugural drone capable of navigating on the water. While harnessing the power of its predecessor, this innovative model still offers a captivating entry point for the company’s fleet. This model costs €169 (approximately $190 USD) and represents a hybrid boat/UAV system, attaching to a drone for navigation across water surfaces. This pontoon boat is capable of staying afloat for up to seven minutes at a moderate pace, reaching a cruising speed of approximately six miles per hour through tranquil waterways. It truly appears fairly attention-grabbing. Watch this video to experience the concept in action?

The final product in our new line of drones comes in two styles: the Night model, priced at €199 (~$224 US), which features LED lights for enhanced nighttime visibility; and the Race Drone, also available for €199 (~$224 US), capable of reaching speeds of up to 8mph, a significant increase from the Night drone’s top speed of 5.3mph. Two-wheeled remote-controlled drones capable of bouncing up to 32 inches in height. You can also broadcast your voice using the drone’s built-in microphone and speaker.

The entire range of drones mentioned can be controlled using Parrot’s mobile phone and tablet application. While Parrot has yet to disclose a specific timeline for its drone’s approach to the US market, it is likely that more information will be forthcoming by July 2nd at the latest.
