Oxipital AI, a pioneer in machine vision technologies for robotic automation and product inspection, is partnering with Stäubli Robotics to drive innovation forward. Oxipital is focusing on processing and manufacturing of shopper items, leveraging its expertise in these areas.

Stäubli Robotics’ comprehensive product range includes 4-axis and 6-axis industrial robots, collaborative robots (cobots), cell robots, and automatic guided vehicles (AGVs). Headquartered in Duncan, South Carolina, the company claims that its robots are versatile enough to operate across numerous industrial sectors, including but not limited to automotive, metalworking, photovoltaics, food processing, and pharmaceuticals.

Staubli Robotics expresses its pride in becoming Oxipital AI’s inaugural Preferred Partner, according to Mathias Konne, the company’s North American business head. This milestone celebrates the collective achievements of our two pioneering companies, fostering a brighter and more ambitious future through ongoing cooperation and mutual understanding. Upon receiving official recognition, alongside our extensive network of partners, we deliver cutting-edge robotic solutions that consistently offer unparalleled value and technological advancements to our valued clients.

The companies claim that by integrating Stäubli’s hygienic robots with Oxipital’s inspection and selection capabilities, they will be able to ensure consistent and food-safe production without relying on human labor for profitability.

“Strengthening our collaborative commitment to revolutionize food processing, we’re now better equipped to tackle industry-wide hurdles through the innovative fusion of AI-powered vision solutions and sanitary, high-speed robotics,” said Harley Green, VP of Strategic Accounts.

Oxitonal AI has spun out of Comfortable Robotics.

In August 2024, the company divested its mushy robotic gripper enterprise and spun off its mGripAI 3D technology and applied sciences into Oxipital AI, a new entity that concentrates on visible duties such as defect detection, quantity estimation, SKU classification, attribute segmentation, and conveyor counting. The company’s reputation has been built primarily in the food industry, where it will also focus on robotic selection in various sectors.

Last month, Oxipital AI unveiled its VX2 Visual System, a revolutionary technology that leverages artificial intelligence for rapid inspection and sorting applications across the food-grade and industrial sectors. Built upon the corporation’s proprietary technology, the VX2 debuts in an even more compact package at a significantly more affordable price point compared to its predecessor.

Oxipital claims the VX2 boasts advanced features for inspection, fast selection, and simultaneous inspection and selection at high speeds. The system guarantees optimal effectiveness and precision in every type of environment.
