Overview: Flywoo GOKU GN745 45A AIO V3 FC – Compact & Versatile with iNav Assist

Here’s a rewritten version in a more professional tone: “To build an autonomous iNAV Cinewhoop drone equipped with GPS capabilities.” While options for flight controllers are somewhat limited when it comes to AIO (all-in-one) designs, most models currently available on the market are characterized by a scarcity of UART ports or lack of support for iNav. Luckily, the Flywoo GOKU GN745 AIO V3 flight controller successfully addresses all my requirements. I’ll discuss my proficiency with this FC while upgrading my Betaflight drone to iNav configuration.

Replacing the flight controller within a short timeframe proved to be a straightforward process, thanks to the similarities in layout and capabilities between the two units.

While the Flywoo board offers additional JST model connectors, they come with both advantages and disadvantages. Despite this, the 4.5V BEC outputs are exclusively accessible via these connectors; the solder pads uniquely provide a 5V BEC. In addition, they provided 4.5-volt pads for soldering, enabling users to power devices from a USB connection without needing to plug in the LiPo battery.

What sets these modern all-in-one flight controllers apart is their provision of a conveniently accessible USB-C port, easily extendable via soldering pads for seamless integration with USB extension boards or adapters. For those who own a Cinewhoop, having the FC’s USB port hidden within the drone’s body can be quite inconvenient. By using a USB extension board or cable, connecting to Betaflight becomes remarkably effortless.

Notwithstanding its limitations, the GEPRC Taker G4 stands out by also exposing the Bootloader pad, a feature that significantly facilitates firmware updates. Since the Flywoo board lacks a dedicated boot button, I had to temporarily solder a jumper wire onto the board’s reset pin, as illustrated in the accompanying photo featuring an improvised connection.

Compared to the GEPRC Taker G4 All-In-One Flight Controller (AIO FC), the following features stand out.

As I work with the iNav system on this flight control (FC), utilizing GPS and a combination of rangefinder and optical movement sensors,

My goal is to design and build a first-person view (FPV) drone capable of maintaining a set location and altitude, similar to a DJI camera drone – a thrilling technical challenge! For extra element:
