OnePlus is poised to elevate its wearable game with the upcoming release of the OnePlus Watch 3 and OnePlus Watch 3 Professional, both boasting enhanced health monitoring capabilities.

Just hours ago, a deep dive into the code of the latest model of the OHealth app, used to manage OnePlus and Oppo smartwatches, uncovered that alongside the vanilla, additional information was revealed regarding the new health monitoring features the pair will support. Going forward, we’ll focus on the OnePlus Watch 3 alone, simplifying our language for easier comprehension, noting that all applicable points also apply equally to the Watch 3 Professional.

The Apple Watch Series 3 features advanced health tracking capabilities, including electrocardiogram (ECG) readings to detect irregular heart rhythms such as atrial fibrillation, as well as continuous wrist temperature monitoring for enhanced overall wellness. To establish a reliable benchmark, consider establishing a consistent sleep routine where you spend at least five consecutive nights without any significant disruptions, with one of those nights featuring a sleep period of four hours or longer. When instructed, you will adjust your wrist temperature accordingly, whether that’s above or below your established baseline.

The Apple Watch Series 3 may also feature a “60-Second Checkup” functionality, which rapidly assesses cardiovascular health by monitoring heart rate, blood vessel elasticity, sleep quality, loud night breathing, vascular age, physical and mental well-being, blood oxygen levels, electrocardiogram (ECG), and wrist temperature. Utilizing a distinct application called the “60-Second Checkup”.

The OHealth app is introducing a revamped Health tab, where users can access valuable features such as Health Insights and Health Journey. The previous will furnish longer-term foresight, in contrast, the latter offers “daily essential exercise and wellness opportunities”, inclusive of sleep, steps, and physical activities.

While these OHealth app features should technically be accessible on Android and iOS, it’s possible that OnePlus may opt to debut them initially on the Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro models.
