Ondas’ American Robotics secures FAA waiver for BVLOS drone operations over individuals.

Onidas Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: ONDS), a leading provider of industrial-grade wireless connectivity solutions and autonomous data analytics, announced today that its subsidiary, Ondas Autonomous Solutions Inc., will focus on developing cutting-edge AI-powered drone technologies for industrial applications. The OAS’s American Robotics subsidiary has obtained another Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) waiver for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations, strengthening its commitment to pushing the boundaries of drone innovation. By securing this additional FAA BVLOS waiver, American Robotics solidifies its position at the vanguard of autonomous drone operations, underscoring the company’s exceptional expertise and collaborative relationship with the FAA in pioneering unmanned aerial systems. The waiver’s supplementary features exemplify effective management in navigating complex regulations within the upscale aviation industry.

Obtaining this FAA Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) waiver serves as a testament to the strength of our expertise and the trust we continue to build with regulatory bodies. Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas Holdings, noted that this achievement significantly boosts the operational capabilities of our Optimus System, empowering us to better serve protection agencies, authorities, and business clients with enhanced DFR options, vital asset inspection capabilities, and more.

“This landmark waiver is a testament to our unwavering commitment to driving innovation in the drone industry at an unprecedented level,” Timothy “T3” Tenne, CEO of American Robotics, noted. As we complete the build-out of our Global Operations Management Hub (GOMH), we’re not only expanding our capacity to deliver global operational services, but also preparing for the FAA’s impending Part 108 framework. This enables a single Distant Pilot in Command (RPIC) to oversee multiple UAS, thereby facilitating increased scalability within the industry.

The newly granted BVLOS waiver represents a significant breakthrough for the industry, as it enables American Robotics’ Optimus System to perform seamless true BVLOS operations. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) waiver allows for flights to occur above individual entities while also enabling the transportation of vehicles from a central remote operations center.

This waiver’s permissions underscore the robust security and efficacy offered by Kestrel, American Robotics’ cutting-edge airspace management and Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) solution. The Kestrel, in conjunction with the Optimus System, serves as the only FAA-approved, crewless aerial vehicle (UAV) specifically designed for safe operation and inspection purposes, playing a vital role in delivering comprehensive operational capabilities to our clients.

The OCC’s collaboration with American Robotics will enable the latter to expand its global reach, delivering enhanced services to customers while ensuring regulatory compliance across diverse jurisdictions. As a pioneer in drone technology, American Robotics is poised to meet diverse needs across industries, including national defense, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure monitoring.

American Robotics is inviting those interested in studying to attend its Drone as a First Responder (DFR) Day on January 16, 2025, where the full scope of its unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) platforms and products will be showcased. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness live demonstrations of our exceptional drone capabilities, alongside real-world scenarios showcasing the deployment of the Optimus System and Kestrel response.
