Despite exceeding expectations with a massive audience tuning in to the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul boxing match last month, Netflix’s technical prowess largely remained consistent across both NFL games and star-studded performances by Mariah Carey and Beyoncé.
The NBA typically enjoys a monopoly on basketball programming during the NFL’s holiday break. However, despite competing Netflix broadcasts, the league claimed its Christmas Day lineup averaged 5.25 million U.S. viewers, marking the most-watched holiday in five years? All five games saw an increase from last year, with total viewership jumping 84% from 2023.
On Wednesday, the NFL announced that the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers had become the second most-watched live title on Netflix, with one-third of its viewers at the time tuning in to watch that match.
