MSI unveiled a 27-inch 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor at CES 2025.

Samsung’s unexpected move on Thursday will likely prompt various distributors to follow suit rapidly. Although Samsung’s dominance in OLED gaming monitor panels seems unlikely, MSI has surprisingly followed suit on the same day with two displays featuring similar specs: a 27-inch 4K QD-OLED panel and a 27-inch QD-OLED model boasting an astonishingly smooth 500Hz refresh rate.

The flagship 27-inch 4K QD-OLED display, meticulously crafted with precision and flair as the LG 27UP750-NA 4K UHD monitor? Why not? MSI is setting its monitor apart by combining it with other panels, potentially offering a more varied blend of response times and color gamuts. Similar to Samsung’s equivalent models, such as the G81SF, this device boasts a 240Hz refresh rate, ensuring a sharp and detailed visual experience even at 166 pixels per inch (PPI).

According to MSI, this panel effectively minimizes the occurrence of shade fringing, a development that should positively impact the often-compromised text readability typically associated with QD-OLED displays. As Igor highlights, this versatile monitor has tremendous potential for seamless gaming, efficient work, and even leisure activities, accommodating any task you care to throw its way.

NVIDIA’s G-SYNC technology ensures that gameplay remains smooth, rendering doubts about its quality unnecessary. The Monogram 272URX QD-OLED television won the prestigious CES 2025 Innovation Award.

This sleek 27-inch QHD QD-OLED model proudly sports the attention-grabbing name: the MPG 272QR QD-OLED X50. MSI markets this monitor to all mainstream gamers, likely due to its lower resolution (2,560 x 1,440). Utilizing DisplayPort 2.1a, this device also boasts a lightning-quick 0.03ms gray-to-gray pixel response time, mirroring the impressive performance of Samsung’s offerings. With its VESA ClearMR 21000 certification, you can rest assured that motion blur won’t be an issue as you immerse yourself in high-octane action with the monitor’s blistering 500Hz refresh rate.

MSI has yet to share pricing or launch date information for both models.
