This week’s episode of the Macworld Podcast features an enlightening conversation with the MacinTech MUG, a local chapter of the Mac Customer Group based in Denver, Colorado. We’ve had the pleasure of witnessing the evolution of MUGs over many years, and it’s time to reflect on their origins, significance in the early days of the Macintosh, and how they have evolved since then. At MacinTech’s September gathering, I had the opportunity to join in-person just a day after the excitement of Apple’s Glowtime event.  

As Brad Tombaugh, a pioneer behind MacinTech, reflects on the storied history of MUGs. Several individuals, including David Bourne, Chris Domino, and Robert Zimmerman, collectively share their unique MUG stories. I apologize for any confusion caused by my inability to accurately identify the individuals involved in our conversation.
