Loxo AG quickly established its initial international presence by opening a global subsidiary in Munich, Germany. A Swiss firm based in The Bern has leveraged software-as-a-service approaches to grant autonomous capabilities to logistics vehicles.
“With Germany serving as the next strategic milestone, LOXO continues its relentless pursuit of transforming industrial car automation across Europe,” said Amin Amini, CEO of LOXO. “Given Germany’s thriving logistics sector, cutting-edge automotive infrastructure, and forward-thinking regulations on autonomous vehicles, this strategic hub presents a compelling opportunity for us to expand our middle-mile and cell distribution capabilities.”
Founded by Amin Amini, Lara Amini, and Claudio Panizza in 2018. Loxo asserts that its Loxo Digital Driver (LDD) software, a vehicle-agnostic solution, can potentially confer Stage 4 autonomy to virtually any industrial vehicle.
In addition to this, the corporation also operates its own fleet of logistics vehicles, featuring the electrically powered LOXO Alpha and LOXO R1.

Loxo launches autonomous delivery service in Bern.
LOXO has recently launched Europe’s first operational Level 4 self-driving technology, now functioning on public roads in Bern. The corporation that began its journey just a few years ago has officially sanctioned self-driving lanes stretching 65 kilometres (40 miles) deep within the city’s boundaries.
“The LDD software programme is the foundation for all autonomous operations, seamlessly integrating advanced AI and a robust sensor suite to enable autonomous driving capabilities.” “Our digital mapping strategy significantly boosts scalability, ensuring swift and economical execution of critical operations.”
Last year, it implemented projects with the Schindler Group and Migros, Switzerland’s largest online retailer. Robots are currently proving their capabilities within a serious Swiss logistics firm.
The German middle-mile logistics market offers a compelling opportunity.
Germany’s middle-mile logistics market, with a valuation of approximately $379.89 billion in 2023 and expected to exceed $504 billion by 2032, holds significant unexploited potential, according to LOXO. “The predictability of routes connecting major corporate centers offers an ideal scenario for the adoption of autonomous driving technologies.”
Lara Amini, co-founder and current Chief Enterprise Officer of LOXO Switzerland, has been appointed to lead the newly established Munich subsidiary.
“We’re not solely focused on replacing traditional cars with autonomous vehicles.” “Our ultimate goal is to stimulate innovative breakthroughs that will revolutionize the entire logistics industry,” said Lara Amini. “As we partner with local allies and leverage Germany’s rich experience, our goal is to adapt LOXO’s successful formula for growth by expanding its reach into new territories.”
The company’s expansion into new territories indicates its commitment to pushing the boundaries of autonomous driving in one of Europe’s most significant markets. The company aims to further integrate its autonomous vehicles into the supply chain and accelerate the development of business-to-business automotive automation.
