iPhone 17 will reportedly deliver a slew of impressive updates and enhancements for its home speaker lineup.

According to Ross Younger of Show Provide Chain Consultants, the OLED, LED, and QLED technologies, which have failed to promote effectively in any respect, will undergo significant show upgrades by next year.

According to Younger, the forthcoming iPhone 17 is expected to feature a 120Hz refresh rate and an LTPO OLED panel, enabling dynamic adjustment of the refresh rate all the way down to potentially as low as 1Hz. It’s taken an unusually long time for this to happen, despite Apple’s continued practice of imposing excessive price premiums on their Pro devices.

iPhone 17 family to have big display upgrades

While the iPhone 17 may boast 120 Hz and LTPO alongside the Slim variant, its impact is diluted by the design’s emphasis on slimness, potentially rendering it a halo product; it would be unusual to have a high-end feature like this absent from the standard model.

The iPhone 17 Professional and iPhone 17 Professional Max are expected to feature a design that pushes the display beneath the Face ID sensor. For years, speculation has swirled around its impending release; now, just 12 months separate us from its actual availability in the market. The Dynamic Island’s fate is uncertain, potentially facing significant changes as the display’s cutout is expected to shrink, accommodating only the selfie camera. As a result, the iPhone 17 Professional and Professional Max are expected to resemble contemporary high-end Android devices more closely.
