
The popular game Gamma has been re-released on the Apple App Store in May, following the introduction of a new App Store policy that allows sports emulators. Gamma is a cutting-edge PlayStation 1 emulator available on both iPhone and iPad, having recently undergone significant updates that have dramatically enhanced its performance.
Enhanced Audio setting & Multitap help
In the latest update, the developer introduced a cutting-edge setting for Enhanced Audio. In this release, the developer notes that audio quality has been enhanced through the strategic use of reverb and interpolation techniques. The App Store release notes state that this update enhances audio quality in mobile gaming.
Gamma’s enhanced capabilities enable it to support up to four players in certain video games, a significant improvement from its previous limit of two.
Disc swapping, cheats, and extra
Gamma’s latest updates have introduced support for seamless disc swapping, enabling users to effortlessly switch between game discs featuring multiple components without needing to return to the main menu. The emulator now enables cheats, allowing you to control the pace of your game and skip through levels at will. The latest updates also feature fresh controller skins and a revamped sports library boasting breathtaking cowl artwork.
This update also resolves issues with specific titles, enabling customers to access many more games. As with all instances, Gamma does not condone any video games – therefore, it’s entirely up to the consumer to provide their own ROMs.
Gamma is available to download at no cost on iPhone and iPad devices running iOS 15 or later, although it does include ads. Advertisements will be effectively removed with a single purchase of Gamma Professional for just $4.99.
