Meet the latest group of esteemed AWS Heroes for 2024, as we announce our November cohort.

As we count down the days until AWS re:Invent 2024, we’re excited to unveil our final group of innovators! Individuals who demonstrate unwavering commitment to harnessing the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cutting-edge technologies and freely disseminating their knowledge to others. Their significant contributions to the AWS group are sincerely appreciated, and we’re thrilled to express our gratitude to them in person.

Ayyanar Jeyakrishnan – Bengaluru, India

As a Principal Engineer and Government Director at Wells Fargo, Machine Learning Hero holds a distinguished title. A seasoned expert in machine learning and cloud technology, with a deep grasp of Amazon Web Services (AWS) innovations. Ayyanar’s expertise lies in designing and implementing information platforms, as well as conceptualizing and architecting DevOps and MLOps solutions that optimize the deployment and management of machine learning models on Amazon Web Services (AWS). With unbridled enthusiasm, he enthusiastically shares his knowledge by delivering keynote speeches and presentations at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings on the topics of MLOps, generative AI, and machine learning applications.

Dženana Džemailović – Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

As Technical Supervisor and co-founder of allOps Options, an Advanced Partner Network (APN) affiliate, Neighborhood Hero plays a key role in the company’s operations. As a seasoned lecturer at Worldwide Birch College, she serves as a prominent observer, enthusiastically disseminating knowledge on DevOps, generative AI, and other emerging technologies to foster growth and innovation. Dzenana’s passion for excellence transcends academia, as she enthusiastically guides college students in exploring cutting-edge cloud and AI solutions. She passionately promotes inclusivity in the tech industry, driving initiatives to empower young women and girls. Through strategic speaking engagements and tailored mentorship programs, Dzenana empowers and prepares the next generation of IT and cloud experts.

Kenneth Attard – Valletta, Malta

As a seasoned Enterprise Architect at Betsson Group in Malta, Neighborhood Hero boasts an impressive 20+ years of technical acumen, complemented by eight years of concentrated expertise in AWS Cloud infrastructure, security, and compliance. As the chief of the AWS Malta Professional Group and organizer of Malta’s AWS Neighborhood Day, Kenneth is passionate about promoting knowledge sharing and learning among cloud enthusiasts and professionals. As a highly sought-after expert, he regularly takes the stage at both local and global events, including AWS Cloud Days, AWS Summits, and AWS Neighborhood Days across multiple countries.

Marcin Sodkiewicz – Wrocław, Poland

Serverless Hero is a principal software engineer at Ryanair. Since 2016, he has played a pivotal role in driving technological innovation, spearheading the transition from traditional on-premise infrastructure to cloud-based solutions and fostering a culture of agility and scalability through the adoption of a serverless-first approach. Throughout his tenure, he has gained valuable insights into the significance of cloud computing in swiftly providing top-tier, elastic, reliable, and cost-effective software solutions. As the profit-and-loss ledger is paramount to him, working at a low-cost carrier where the mission revolves around “making travel affordable for all” aligns seamlessly with his passion for crafting cost-effective solutions yielding competitive advantages.

Marcin’s blog posts and presentations delve into Amazon Web Services (AWS) through the unique perspectives of his favorite topics: event-driven and serverless architecture approaches, resilience strategies, optimizing value delivery, and monitoring observability. In addition to his role as a community leader, he is believed to be one of the key organizers behind the AWS Person Group initiative in his hometown of Wrocław.

Stephen Sennett – Melbourne, Australia

Neighborhood Hero serves as a senior marketing consultant for Kinetic IT, an Australian-based organization. With a tenure spanning over a decade, this seasoned cloud expert has leveraged his profound expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to excel as an architect, mentor, engineer, and instructor. From 2021 to 2024, Stephen participated in the AWS Neighborhood Builders program, playing dual roles: he mentored fellow group members while also acting as a public speaking coach for emerging thought leaders through the AWS New Voices initiative. As a highly acclaimed keynote speaker, he has had the privilege of delivering presentations at esteemed events such as AWS Neighborhood Days, AWS Summits, and premier global tech conferences. Outside his professional role, Stephen is a dynamic volunteer emergency management officer and nonprofit board member.

Vadym Kazulkin – Bonn, Germany

As a Serverless Hero, he leads the Improvement team at ip.labs GmbH, a Fujifilm subsidiary, with over two decades of expertise in the Java ecosystem. His current focus lies in crafting and deploying highly scalable AWS cloud solutions, driven by a passion for serverless architecture. As a co-organizer of the Java Person Group Bonn meetup, Vadym is an active ambassador for sharing knowledge at both local and global events, including AWS and Java meetups, conferences, AWS Neighborhood Days, and ServerlessDays. He fosters a culture of collective learning, encouraging individuals to freely share their expertise and collaborate on the latest developments in cloud and serverless technologies through focused study and discussion.
