Daniela Rus is a celebrated Class of 2002 MacArthur Fellow, a distinguished fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery, the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. She is also a fellow of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Rus earned her Ph.D. With a degree in Computer Science from Cornell College. Prior to joining, she held a professorship in the Computer Science Department at Dartmouth College.
Research on Russian roboticist Rus’ predominantly concentrates on the scientific underpinnings of networked, distributed, and collaborative robotic systems. Notably, she expressed interest in determining the optimal number of machines that can work together to achieve a shared objective.
