Google makes it easier to protect your data if your phone gets lost or stolen.

Google is allegedly introducing a new feature on select Android devices, featuring advanced security measures such as Theft Detection Lock, Offline Machine Lock, and Remote Lock, designed to protect users’ devices from unauthorized access. While the concept isn’t novel, many Android users have indeed experienced this feature. Notwithstanding the introduction of the Theft Detection Lock and Offline Machine Lock features in May, additional measures have been taken to bolster knowledge security.

This innovative security feature stands out as the most sophisticated among its peers. The system utilizes artificial intelligence and the device’s sensors to identify recurring movements characteristic of potential theft attempts. As someone suddenly snatches the phone from your grasp and starts using it without permission? It can also detect motions commonly linked to motorcycles and automobiles. Will automatically lock and secure your device to prevent unauthorized access to your apps and data.

When attempting to keep your device disconnected for extended periods, Offline Machine Lock effectively secures your gadget by locking it in case a thief tries to do so.

When enabled, Distant Lock allows you to remotely secure your phone using only your phone number if “Find My Device” is disabled or you’re unable to access your Google account to perform the lock yourself.

While it remains unclear which specific phones will receive the latest features, it’s worth checking if your device has the most recent version of Google Play Services.
