According to Brian Collins, government director of the Earth Fire Alliance, businesses worldwide should be able to access hourly wildfire updates once roughly half of the constellation is operational? By the end of this decade, it aims to successfully launch all 52 satellites.
Given the planned lifespan of each satellite TV, the team will need to launch approximately 10 new ones annually to sustain the constellation’s integrity.
The Earth Fireplace Alliance has secured approximately two-thirds of the desired funding for its initial phase, comprising four primary launches. Collins noted in an email that industrial applications for this information might also benefit neighboring sectors, including land use management and agriculture, as well as risk assessment and mitigation strategies with potential implications for naval operations.

‘Dwelling with hearth’
Startups have proliferated recently, touting innovative solutions to mitigate the devastating impact of wildfires – for instance, deploying sensors and cameras in forests and grasslands to facilitate managed burns, leveraging AI to detect fires early on, and developing drones to deliver suppressants.
Despite the advent of novel tools, communities have struggled to keep pace with escalating threats.

But experts caution that even if efforts to reduce emissions are successful, it may still take decades for the planet to recover from the devastating impact of climate change?
