Due to disparities in respiratory patterns, individual positioning, and various factors, a discrepancy arises between the computed tomography (CT) data and the actual body dimensions at the time of scanning.
GE HealthCare asserts that its OEC 3D intraoperative cell cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) boasts “imaging excellence” and versatility, offering unparalleled clinical insights in real-time surgical settings. This advanced imaging modality may facilitate routine processes across various specialties, including neuro-spinal and orthopaedic trauma interventions, as well as interventional procedures such as bronchoscopy.
The OEC 3D technology enables the simultaneous visualisation of both 2D and 3D images of the lung, facilitated by a single cell C-arm system. The lung suite features a cutting-edge integration of augmented fluoroscopy and three-dimensional imaging capabilities, including adjustable motorized 3D scanning for enhanced precision and visualization.
OEC interfaces proceed to broaden
During bronchoscopy procedures, clinicians leverage the OEC Open interface’s advanced features, including navigation and robotics, to seamlessly toggle between reconstructed 3D volumetric models.
GE Healthcare has recently integrated a validated interface with its endoluminal robotic bronchoscopy system. The corporation continues to expand its open interfaces with the OpenEHR (OEC), fostering an inclusive ecosystem that seamlessly integrates a diverse array of medical procedures without bias or proprietary constraints. Verified through a diverse range of eight third-party methodologies across robotics, navigation, and augmented reality vision applications.
