At IFA 2024, HONOR is set to revolutionize eye safety with the unveiling of its innovative AI-powered defocus show technology on the Magic V3.

Across the globe, a pioneering innovation is set to revolutionize the way we approach eye health, with its forthcoming launch promising to make history by introducing an industry-first solution capable of reducing eye pressure and myopia. By leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced algorithms, this innovative technology emulates traditional optical principles by integrating defocus indicators within display screens, thereby enhancing eye protection and ensuring a safer viewing experience. The Magic V3 will incorporate cutting-edge ultra-high pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming technology to minimize display screen flicker, underscoring HONOR’s commitment to user well-being.At IFA 2024, HONOR is set to revolutionize eye safety with the unveiling of its innovative AI-powered defocus show technology on the Magic V3.

The AI Defocus expertise, leveraging the innovative concept of “defocus included a multitude” (DIMS) incorporated into specialized eyewear, strives to address the global surge in myopia prevalence. Results from lab assessments indicate that AI Defocus can significantly reduce the onset of work-induced transient myopia by an average of 13 degrees, while also enhancing central choroidal thickness within just 25 minutes of screen time.

Currently, AI Defocus is compatible with popular applications such as YouTube and Amazon Kindle, with future plans to expand its capabilities to support additional features. HONOR has partnered with renowned tech YouTuber PhoneBuff to highlight its innovative capabilities, offering an exclusive sneak peek at upcoming show advancements.

Making assistive tech extra accessible

The innovative technology company has unveiled a global launch of its groundbreaking eye-tracking capabilities, enabling users to effortlessly control their mobile devices with nothing more than their gaze. The innovative function, initially introduced earlier this year, is now available to use on devices such as smartphones. Honour is poised to unlock the full potential of its capabilities, in tandem with strategic investments in cutting-edge non-invasive brain-computer interface technology, aiming to create more accessible and effective assistive solutions.
