Soar through the skies with the new Joby Aviation’s eVTOL aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator?

Joby Aviation, Inc.

NYSE-listed Joby Aviation, a company developing electric air taxis for industrial passenger transportation, has announced that pilots worldwide can now take to the skies in its aircraft as part of the next generation of popular simulation franchises.

Joby, an innovative electrical air taxi service, is currently available for launch, offering all generations of aviation enthusiasts the unique opportunity to experience the future of flight firsthand from the pilot’s seat.

As Joe Ben Bevirt, founder and CEO of Joby, remarked, “We’re thrilled to unveil our groundbreaking aircraft to enthusiasts from all walks of life, empowering everyone to experience the seamless control system we’ve crafted.” We’re eager to see where people will choose to take off and land with our aircraft, leveraging its versatility to explore urban areas and rural communities in innovative ways.

The Joby aircraft employs an innovative approach to flight control, enabling pilots to seamlessly shift from vertical takeoff to wingborne flight through intuitive transitions. Dubbed “unified flight controls,” this aircraft is flown in a manner similar to vertical-lift military planes, such as the F-35B Joint Strike Fighter.

In the upcoming game, players will have the opportunity to pilot Joby’s electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, also known as a “Joby plane,” between helipads and airports globally, with potential routes mirroring real-life air taxi service options like JFK Airport to Downtown Manhattan, where Joby successfully conducted piloted exhibition flights in 2022. Joby recently unveiled its electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft at Grand Central Terminal in New York City and The Grove in Los Angeles, showcasing the company’s ambitious vision for the future of urban air mobility to local communities.

The integration of the Joby plane within the Microsoft Flight Simulator is a culmination of years-long cooperation between Joby and the simulator’s development team, meticulously capturing every detail from interior and exterior dimensions to flight dynamics and control systems across all flight phases.

Joby’s revolutionary electric air taxi system accommodates a pilot and four passengers, capable of reaching velocities of up to 200 miles per hour while delivering unparalleled quiet operation and zero emissions.

Joby has recently unveiled its comprehensive pilot training curriculum, enabling industrial fixed-wing pilots to complete a suite of simulator-based and in-flight training exercises in order to obtain a powered-lift rating. Joby collaborates with CAE, a global leader in pilot training and simulation, to create advanced flight simulation training systems, comprising Stage 7 and Stage C modules.

Joby Aviation, Inc. (NYSE: JOBY) is a California-based transportation company developing an all-electric, vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) air taxi, designed to operate as a fast, quiet, and convenient mode of transportation within urban areas worldwide. To study extra, go to .
