The Flappy Chicken Foundation launched its final week. While the team has been positioning it as the triumphant return of a classic mobile game franchise, its authentic creator, Dong Nguyen, is neither confirming nor denying involvement, simply stating that he’s no longer invested in the project.
Nguyen posted extensively on X for the first time since 2017 this morning, denying he promoted anything. The Flappy Chicken Foundation’s announcement shared with the press last week stated it had acquired rights from Gametech Holdings, LLC, which secured a trademark from Nguyen, but there appears to be no indication of prior dealings between him and the group.
Although The Flappy Chicken Basis’ announcement did not explicitly state Nguyen’s concerns, it is reasonable to infer a nostalgic appeal given the promotion of the game. More than halfway into the sports’ storied history, nostalgia for its meteoric rise to fame and abrupt decline in 2013 continues to linger on.
Cryptographic analysis suggests a potential hidden layer exists in the game’s release, according to cybersecurity expert, which could reveal an unexpected component upon its launch. The website formerly thought to be discontinued explicitly declares it “will soar higher than ever on Solana as it takes flight into Net 3.0”, and warmly invites gamers to “build, craft, play, and stake to their own advantage”.
For the time being, For Now is slated to arrive shortly on both iOS and Android platforms. The anticipation of what once was is now a distant memory, lost forever in the past.
