At RoboBusiness, Bota Techniques is showcasing its latest innovation: the SensONE T80 force-torque sensor. | Supply: Bota Techniques

At the upcoming event in Santa Clara, California, Bota Techniques AG will showcase its comprehensive range of force-torque sensors, including its latest innovation specifically engineered for larger collaborative robots. The corporation will be showcasing its products in Booth 613 on the main floor.

Headquartered in Zurich, Bota Techniques specializes in pioneering sensor technology for robotics applications. Its sensors are engineered for precision, flexibility, and adaptability, catering to the demands of industrial, service, and medical robots, thereby enhancing their capabilities in areas such as manufacturing and minimally invasive surgical procedures.

According to Bota Technologies, power-torque sensors could grant robots a means of communication, thereby allowing them to execute tasks previously only feasible with human operators.

“At RoboBusiness, we will be highlighting our latest advancements in force-torque sensing innovation,” Klajd Lika, CEO of Bota Techniques, reveals. Developments in AI and machine learning hold the potential to streamline robotic programming, potentially broadening adoption even among users without robotics expertise – despite ongoing challenges existing.”

Robotic understanding is limited by the data provided by sensors tracking movements. “Capturing insights into the dynamic state of robots, encompassing internal and external influences, as well as tactile information, will enhance coaching and inference efficiency.”

We’re eager to explore how our expertise can drive innovation in robotics, uncovering the vast possibilities hidden within the ‘native language’ of machines, at this year’s event, said Lika.

See revolutionary sensors firsthand

Attendees at RoboBusiness may have the opportunity to witness the latest innovation from Bota Techniques – the SensONE T80, a cutting-edge force-torque sensor. The latest addition to the firm’s SensONE range of slimline six-axis pressure and torque sensors designed specifically for collaborative robots is now available.

The sensor “is designed to mitigate excessive sensitivity across the entire payload range of large industrial robots, opening up new possibilities for high-demand applications such as heavy-lifting and welding,” said Martin Wermelinger, Head of Robotics at Bottech. “We anticipate showcasing how this innovation will enhance precision and efficiency in these and future complex tasks.”

Botia techniques mention that their SensONE allows for and presents knowledge of pressure, vision, and inertial data.

These tools can be employed across various industrial applications, including rehabilitation utilizing robotic methodologies, precision manufacturing, product testing, honing and grinding, as well as robotic-assisted operations.
