The foundation of our understanding is solidified.

Google got off to a rocky start when it launched its first smartwatch in 2022, but it didn’t take long for the company to find its footing. While the current model remains an outstanding choice, it’s merely a question of when a next-generation variant will be released.

We’re under the microscope examining all existing Google Pixel Watch 3 rumors and projecting enhancements we anticipate for the next-generation model.

  • The Google Pixel Watch series is expected to debut alongside the Pixel 6 on August 13, marking a significant upgrade in wearable technology.
  • The Pixel Watch 3 could potentially boast slightly extended battery life, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) capabilities, and offer users a choice between two distinct size options.
  • The Pixel Watch 3 will likely retail for $349, following the precedent set by its predecessors.

While rumors surrounding a potential third-generation Google Pixel Watch are swirling, it’s worth noting that the tech giant has yet to officially confirm or deny its plans for such a device. Given Google’s history of releasing new Pixel smartphones annually, and considering the success of the Pixel Watch series thus far, it’s not entirely out of the question that we may see another iteration in the future – but for now, fans will have to remain speculative about any concrete details.

A new generation of the Pixel Watch is reportedly imminent, with confirmation from Google likely to follow shortly. The corporation has made a significant investment in wearables following its acquisition of Fitbit, indicating bold aspirations for its own smartwatch offerings. Rumors surrounding the Pixel Watch 3 have already begun circulating, lending further credence to the idea that it is in the works. Despite limited information, speculation suggests the upcoming release will resemble its predecessor, with potential improvements this time around? For those seeking flexibility in their plans, this new option may prove a refreshing development.

The anticipated Google Pixel Watch 3 release date appears to be sometime in October 2023, considering the company’s historical pattern of unveiling new smartwatches during the annual Made by Google event, which has traditionally taken place in October.

  • October 12, 2023

Although there have been just two releases thus far, the Pixel Watch consistently debuts in tandem with the Pixel lineup every October. Although the collection was previously released last year, it’s being relaunched on August 13, which suggests that the Pixel Watch 3 might also debut at this event.

Based on rumors and leaks, the Google Pixel Watch 3 could seem like a sleek, modern smartwatch with advanced health monitoring features, seamless integration with Android devices, and possibly even a new design language that deviates from traditional watch styles.

Recently, Google has finally provided us with a closer look at the Pixel Watch 3’s design. If you were expecting something entirely new, the next release appears remarkably similar to its predecessors. The same 1.2-inch display and rotating crown remain, albeit with a slightly thicker profile due to the upgraded battery capacity and integration of new features such as UWB technology.

According to preliminary reports, the anticipated dimensions of the Pixel Watch 3 are reportedly 40.79 x 40.73 x 14mm, differing slightly from its actual measurements at 41 x 41 x 12.3mm, which were previously reported. Despite initial reservations, we ultimately came to understand that Google was creating an even more sophisticated artificial intelligence model. Although the same 41mm model will remain, the larger version is reportedly equipped with a 1.45-inch screen and a 45mm case. Although unconfirmed by Google, whispers suggest that the larger device may be known as ?

One distinctive aspect of the Pixel Watch’s design is its prominent bezels. Fortunately, Google is expected to reduce the bezel sizes in its third iteration. Compared to its predecessor, the Pixel Watch 2 boasts a slimmed-down design with a mere 5.5mm bezel. Within the graphic below, you can see the significant impact this improvement will have.

In late July, a subsequent report corroborated the findings regarding colours and bands that we previously documented on this page. Despite the previous leak’s revelations, this latest report takes it a step further, exposing every band that will likely be available for Google’s upcoming smartwatch. These bands embrace:

  •  What’s the essence of you? Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel, and Rose Quartz – four unique energies that resonate within your 41mm soul.
  •  What a fascinating collection of names!
  •

Five distinct fragrances: Ivy, Porcelain, Lemongrass, Peony, and Sage (each offered in 41mm).

Rumors surrounding the Google Pixel Watch 3’s specs and features are swirling. Alleged details suggest a device boasting a 1.5-inch OLED display, GPS and heart rate monitoring capabilities, as well as compatibility with both Android and iOS devices via Wear OS. Additionally, it may offer integrated Google Assistant functionality, a rechargeable battery lasting several days on a single charge, water resistance up to 50 meters, and a sleek design inspired by Fossil’s Gen 5 smartwatches.

Rumors and leaks surrounding the anticipated Pixel Watch 3 have emerged, coupled with exclusive insights from our sources. Let’s delve into the vast array of knowledge surrounding meticulous hardware and software tweaks.

According to recent reports, the anticipated Pixel Watch 3 is poised to incorporate an ultra-wideband (UWB) chip, enabling advanced short-range communication capabilities and precise location tracking. Despite earlier rumors suggesting Ultra-Wideband technology would feature in the Pixel Watch 2, it ultimately failed to materialize at the last minute. A supply inside Google confirms that the feature will indeed be included in the upcoming Pixel Watch 3. Additionally, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) assistance has recently been available.

Despite a lack of information, speculation is inevitable; what might Google’s strategy be? One notable additional application instance might be precise system discovery. As recently revealed, Google appears to be exploring. While exploring the realm of innovative technology, you may have another opportunity to unlock your vehicle using a Digital Automotive Key, which has already been seamlessly integrated with renowned brands like BMW, Hyundai, and Kia, as well as numerous other manufacturers. However, it could also potentially be employed to access the system, as suggested by the preceding period.

The Pixel Watch 3 can also function as a fitness tracker and smart notification device. Before getting overly enthusiastic, however, the latest standard model reportedly features a 307mAh battery, only marginally larger than its predecessor’s by just 1mAh. Notwithstanding its mention in our personal report as having a 310mAh battery, the actual difference isn’t substantial. Although the larger mannequin is often assumed to have a 420mAh battery.

While these upgrades might show some improvement on their own, a more efficient system-on-chip (SoC) is likely needed for drastic gains in battery life. The Fossil Gen 5 is rumored to incorporate a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chip, accompanied by a dedicated processor for watchOS. It seems unlikely that Qualcomm would need to create a W6 chip? Wouldn’t it be exciting to potentially see an in-house Google chip powering the Pixel Watch in the future? Given that’s all just speculation and extremely improbable for the Pixel Watch 3, to say the least.

Recently, Google’s official channels have unveiled the promotional campaign for the highly anticipated Pixel Watch 3 series, effectively verifying numerous long-standing rumors and speculations surrounding the device. It’s officially confirmed that the Pixel Watch 3 will be available in two sizes: a 41mm model, identical to the current Pixel Watch 2, and a larger 45mm variant. While the 41mm model boasts a 10% larger display, thanks to its slimmer bezels, the 45mm version promises an impressive 40% larger screen compared to the Apple Watch Series 2.

Fashions will leverage Google’s “Actua” expertise to create displays with unparalleled peak brightness of 2,000 nits, a significant increase from the Pixel Watch 2’s 1,000 nits. The purportedly leaked images further highlight the device’s touted “ultra-responsive” display, implying a potential increase in its refresh rate. With battery life expected to maintain its pace with preceding models, the device will offer up to 24 hours of usage with the always-on display enabled, or a more conservatively estimated 36 hours in Battery Saver mode. The 41-millimeter mannequin boasts a 20% faster charging time compared to the Pixel Watch 2, a notable advantage.

Software program adjustments

Newly leaked images disclose that the Pixel Watch 3 will feature innovative software capabilities, including seamless integration with Nest devices, allowing users to access live feeds from their doorbells and cameras directly on the watch face for effortless real-time monitoring. By crafting tailored routes, runners can benefit from racing against past performances, while also receiving real-time feedback on pace, rhythm, and footwork.

The current features allowing control of the telephone’s digital camera and utilization of Google Pay for contactless transactions will remain unchanged. A cutting-edge “Morning Brief” feature will condense essential wellness and healthcare insights each morning. While the leak’s silence on Gemini-based AI alternatives is telling, it’s likely that the Pixel Watch 3 will still leverage Google’s AI capabilities indirectly.

The estimated Google Pixel Watch 3 value could range from $350 to $450.

  • $349
  • $349

The Pixel Watch lineup boasts a starting price of $349, with the LTE variant slightly pricier at $399 from the outset. Due to the prevailing financial climate in the tech industry, we previously assumed that the Pixel Watch 3 would maintain its traditional pricing regardless of its current value. Despite all else, most watches of this calibre consistently oscillate within a narrow price range.

While there may exist unhealthy data, Leaks of our first value have arrived via a French outlet, with a potential surge looming on the horizon for Europe. The report states the 41mm Pixel Watch 3’s Wi-Fi model will cost €399, roughly $436, while the 45mm Wi-Fi model may fetch €449, approximately $491. Need mobile connectivity? These costs may increase to approximately €499 ($546) and €549 ($601), respectively.

According to recent rumors, a fresh leak has shed light on the anticipated United States pricing for Google’s upcoming Pixel Watch 3, bringing much-needed clarity to eager consumers. The report indicates that the 41mm Pixel Watch 3 is likely to retail at $349 for its Wi-Fi only variant in the United States, while the LTE version will likely carry a price tag of $449. Although the WiFi model’s price remains unchanged from last year, the LTE model sees a $50 increase compared to its previous iteration. If rumors are accurate, Google may be clearing inventory for the anticipated Pixel Watch 3 XL, reportedly priced at $399 for Wi-Fi only and $499 with LTE capabilities.

Should we already be eyeing the Google Pixel Watch successor, considering its predecessor’s popularity and constant software updates?

Revised text: “Enhance your experience with this latest OS upgrade featuring a comprehensive guide, improved wellbeing sensors for a more accurate reading, and rapid charging capabilities to reduce downtime.”

The Pixel Watch 2 enhances user experience with OS 4, advanced wellbeing monitoring through superior sensors, and enhanced training capabilities.

The Google Pixel Watch 2 builds upon its predecessor’s successful features while addressing several of its initial limitations effectively. The inclusion of advanced sensors, enhanced coaching tools, and several critical refinements suggests a more polished final outcome. Google’s Pixel Watch operating on OS 4 performs smoothly, with Fitbit devices also integrating seamlessly into the lineup.

Underwhelmed by the limited options in the new Pixel Watch lineup? The prominent variation among Android-based smartwatches is the Samsung Galaxy Watch series. For those hesitant to switch to an iPhone, the Apple Watch Series 9 can also be a valuable alternative.

The Google Pixel Watch 3: what we’re hoping for.

The Google Pixel Watch 2 stands out as a top contender in the market, boasting an impressive array of desirable features. In fact, nothing is ideal. Here’s a revised version: With the Google Pixel Watch 3 on the horizon, we’ve compiled a list of features we’re eagerly anticipating.

Sturdiness may use enchancment

While the Pixel Watch faced significant durability concerns, particularly due to the relatively thin glass employed. Notably, customers have reported minor improvements in glass quality; however, numerous reviewers and shoppers have voiced concerns that the watch remains surprisingly vulnerable to damage. The watch’s notoriously elusive self-repair mechanism exacerbates the issue, leaving homeowners with no choice but to rely heavily on the Google Pixel Watch Customer Support team for any necessary repairs. This causes nothing but frustration and results in a long-awaited period without sight.

The Google Pixel Watch 3 offers a compelling solution to address these durability concerns comprehensively. Selecting thicker, exceptionally robust glass appears to be a straightforward solution. While adding mass to the system may not significantly alter its overall dimensions or worth, the resultant increase in robustness makes it a reasonable compromise.

Should the Pixel Watch offer additional size options?

Kaitlyn Cimino / Android Authority

While Garmin, Apple, and Samsung typically offer various watch size options, this is not the case with Google. The Pixel Watch 2 comes in a single size option of 41mm. While some may find smaller smartwatches suitable, those with larger wrists or seeking enhanced performance, including more display real estate and extended battery life, might require a device that only marginally sacrifices portability for these benefits.

The case for adding a 45mm option to the Pixel Watch 3 seems straightforward: Google should consider offering users a more extensive range of choices to cater to diverse wrist sizes and preferences. This accessory may appeal to individuals seeking an augmented visual experience or a larger scale design that accentuates their wrist’s natural size.

According to previous discussions, there’s a strong likelihood that Google might actually take this step.

What’s your take on expanding our palette with fresh colors?

google pixel watch apple watch usb c puck charger

The evolution of smartphones has led to a proliferation of new features and technologies that enhance our mobile experiences.

The Google Pixel Watch 2 employs a restrained approach to casing colors, opting for metallic hues of gold, black, and silver. While I share Henry Ford’s affinity for the colour black, albeit in jest, it’s likely my perspective will remain an outlier among many. The market offers a wide array of smartwatches featuring a diverse range of vibrant colors. With its sleek designs, Apple stands out in the tech industry, particularly with its Apple Watch Series 9, now available in vibrant hues such as Product Purple and Pink.

If Google aims to make the Pixel Watch 3 stand out, incorporating a dash of colour appears to be a straightforward strategy. Google might draw inspiration from its Pixel phone range, introducing hues akin to Rose or Bay Blue, or revisiting beloved Pixel shades like Oh So Orange? Despite my usual preference for a sleek black phone, I experienced the pesky coloration issue on my Pixel yet again, only a day after its initial occurrence. It unmistakably stood out in an approach that was difficult to overlook.

Here’s hoping that the Pixel Watch 3 can deliver a similar design flair with its case color options in 2024. While there’s currently no indication of anything untoward happening, it’s still too early to rule out the possibility altogether.

The security sign’s value isn’t worth a dime.

A Google Pixel Watch 2 enables Emergency Sharing.

I’m glad you like the feature! The Pixel Watch 2’s security sign function provides an additional layer of protection for your watch and personal data by requiring a biometric verification or password before allowing access to certain features. Effectively, this feature enables the use of SOS mobile functions in crisis situations without requiring a live LTE mobile connection. While this function requires an additional $50 for the LTE model, the sense of security it provides is well worth the investment.

Without a functioning phone, it’s possible to get lost on a hike or run and find yourself alone. Having a reliable backup plan in place provides an added layer of security and confidence during unexpected situations. While the need to pay for a Fitbit Premium subscription may seem unappealing, While Premium pricing starts at $10 per month, it also offers mobile plans for wearables beginning at the same competitive rate. In stark contrast to traditional cellphone plans that provide comprehensive coverage, this emergency-focused service is deliberately designed for urgent situations alone.

I believe Google should cover the costs for emergency services and provide this feature at no cost to Pixel Watch 3 LTE subscribers. By doing so, Google would occupy a distinctive position in the market, providing an exclusive feature that sets it apart from every other model at zero cost to users. While Apple and other manufacturers offer SOS options, they all necessitate a live, paid mobile connection to function effectively.

GPS accuracy must be improved

A satellite map shows a Google Pixel Watch 2's GPS data.

We found that the watch’s GPS performance was surprisingly unreliable when compared to other devices and units. Throughout our rigorous testing, we observed that the GPS periodically went offline, yet persisted in asserting it remained operational. The accuracy of the gap report may be compromised when compared to other units, much like the Apple Watch’s capabilities. A seamless fusion of style and substance in the search for a watch that leverages Fitbit expertise to prioritize health. Plainly put, Google should enhance the GPS capabilities of the Pixel Watch series to ensure accurate location tracking and reliable navigation.

The Google Pixel Watch 3 wishlist: I’d love to see improved water resistance – making the wearable more durable and usable in daily life.
