This announcement marks a significant milestone, building upon Section 1 of the RACER, as Duality successfully achieved its goal of being selected as one of only two simulation suppliers to partner with DARPA in this esteemed program. The corporation has announced that its latest settlement expedites the development of autonomy at NASA by facilitating rapid experimentation, identifying flaws swiftly, and minimizing risks. The conference will also feature groundbreaking research on artificial intelligence crucial for developing advanced AI algorithms that drive robotic autonomy to new heights.

“For Section 1, Duality’s chief product officer noted that the company has had a meaningful presence within RACER Sim.” Since RACER Sim was a sister project. As we were a dominant force in the industry, our rival group was headed by Intel. The project was conceived to pioneer advancements in simulation technologies for developing cutting-edge off-road robots. DARPA acknowledged the gaps there.”

As teams progress through the RACER program’s latter half, they are expected to showcase their expertise in developing advanced AI technologies that enable high-speed autonomous driving of larger vehicles across extended distances, surpassing achievements in the initial section.

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) team will leverage Duality’s advanced digital twin simulation technology to overcome the complexities associated with autonomous high-speed, off-road vehicles, encompassing tasks such as mapping, perception, planning, and response to hazards and obstacles.

“As companies navigate rapidly changing landscapes, traditional strategies inevitably fall short,” said John Smith, CEO of Duality. “To fully leverage AI capabilities, we must consider scalable, reliable, and resilient solutions that can withstand challenges, as emphasized by the RACER program.”

Duality enables coaching of artificial intelligence (AI) in Section 2 by leveraging its unique strengths and capabilities.

Within the scope of the settlement, Duality is committed to providing the necessary tools and methodologies for coaching artificial intelligence via simulated environments, while also supporting JPL’s development of next-generation autonomous technologies through instrument and process demonstrations. The contract also provides JPL with access to extensive, highly realistic environments essential for robust software testing and training.

When RACER transitioned into Section 2, Taylor noted that they essentially became an integral component of the JPL team itself. To accelerate RACER’s impact, we’re shifting our focus from showcasing expertise to directly supporting JPL’s needs as they navigate this project.

According to Duality, NASA’s JPL group leverages digital twins of real-world environments to create synthetic data and test autonomous software programs with enhanced code security, outperforming traditional simulators in this regard. The corporation asserts that its AI-driven tools are capable of building digital environments from satellite imagery, as well as boasting a comprehensive library of programmable virtual sensors.

Consequently, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) can manipulate virtual environments through the creation of digital twins of various natural elements, such as rocks, vegetation, and climates. The laboratory asserts that this level of precise control facilitates the seamless translation of cutting-edge ideas from simulation to reality.

This collaboration has been invaluable not only for NASA JPL but also for the significant enhancement of Duality’s capabilities. Through the initial phase, Taylor explained that Duality aimed to leverage its expertise across multiple domains, ultimately striving to craft expansive, high-performance, and photorealistically accurate virtual environments. According to him, Section 2 will likely provide additional opportunities for the corporation, potentially opening new doors.

“For Taylor, working alongside the team has been a genuine delight for her inner tech enthusiast.” “The RACER phenomenon stands out as arguably the most captivating and challenging off-road autonomy development currently unfolding in public view.”

What makes Falcon distinctive?

Shah and Taylor provide distinct profiles for Duality AI, showcasing their unique experiences. For over a decade prior to Duality’s launch, Taylor led the area of robotics, while Shah spent most of his career at Pixar, crafting immersive digital worlds for feature films.

Taylor approached Shah and suggested that his familiarity with digital realms could potentially be leveraged in the development of robotics.

For instance, Shah contended that, even in animated motion pictures, there exists a fundamental physics governing the world. If you happen to encounter a jarring disruption in the physics of the scene, it can shatter your connection to reality, abruptly yanking you out of the cinematic experience.

While filmmakers might push creative boundaries through unconventional methods, such limitations do not apply to crafting virtual environments for robots.

“We’re leveraging advancements in filmmaking from the past three to four decades, incorporating instruments and methods to create high-fidelity simulations, as well as extracting relevant data in a meaningful way for engineering applications.”

From a technological standpoint, our primary focus lies in developing embodied AI systems. “So, unlike AI fashion concepts that exist online, we’re talking about AI designs that are intended to be physically embodied in the real world.”

“It will continuously sense and respond within a closed-loop system,” Shah explained. “It’s precisely this unique blend of capabilities that sets our Falcon platform apart from others.” From the outset, we leverage digital twins as foundational building blocks.

Once Duality has all the necessary building blocks in place, it will likely assemble and structure them in a manner that best serves its users.

Playing video games improves cognitive skills?

The corporation also has a strategic partnership with Epic Games. The online gaming industry provides valuable insights for crafting immersive digital environments. The duality of modern media consumption and robotics innovation needs to bridge the gap between current applications and desired advancements, according to Shah’s assertion.

“We capitalize on the immense investment of billions of dollars made by the sports industry in developing, refining, and maintaining numerous technologies, yet we do not require our customers to utilize them,” said Taylor. “Why consider showcasing a MATLAB model when you could seamlessly integrate it with Falcon through co-simulation?”

As expertise in numerical analysis dictates, utilize Falcon for its specific purposes, while reserving MATLAB for tackling complex physical phenomena. “You have the flexibility to choose the specific elements that suit your needs and tailor a approach that fits your team’s unique dynamics.”

While RACER’s focus lies exclusively with off-road vehicles, Duality’s Falcon defies that limitation, catering to a broader scope of automobiles.

“As an organisation, we’ve diversified our portfolio to include prospects that excel in aerial environments, those that thrive in terrestrial settings, and those that flourish beneath the ocean’s surface,” Taylor remarked. “Our comprehensive buyer base and cutting-edge software program synergistically support each other.”
