Wing Aviation LLC has announced a partnership with DoorDash and Brookfield Properties to launch drone-based delivery services in native malls across the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The innovative delivery service is set to debut at Brookfield Properties’ Stonebriar Centre in Frisco and Hulen Mall in Fort Worth, marking a milestone as the first-of-its-kind in the United States for American shopping malls, according to the companies.

As of now, customers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with an active DoorDash account can opt for drone delivery at checkout if their order meets certain requirements. Once customers select the drone delivery option and submit their order, it will promptly be prepared, packaged, and then transported via a Wing drone.

DoorDash announced plans to expand its logistics capabilities through partnerships with over 50 retailers, allowing for same-day drone delivery options through its popular food ordering app. The corporation boasts that its highly advanced autonomous drones are capable of delivering packages and meals directly to customers’ doorsteps within a mere 15 minutes. With precision navigation, they will approach the supply location at a speed of 65 miles per hour before steadily descending to an altitude of approximately 150 feet, ensuring a safe and controlled landing.

Wing, a leading drone services company, has successfully expanded its Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flight capabilities within the United States.

The Alphabet subsidiary maintains a fleet of lightweight, high-speed drones capable of transporting small packages directly from companies to customers’ doorsteps within minutes. The company, Wing, has been operating in the United States. Over the past five years, this company has achieved outstanding results, boasting more than 400,000 successful business deliveries globally. The Mountain View, California-based company maintains that its approach is shielded by intellectual property rights, environmentally friendly, and easy to integrate with existing inventory and distribution systems.

Here are the results:

Wing, a logistics technology company, partnered with Serve Robotics Inc. in October to provide last-mile deliveries using cellular robots.

Below the collaborative effort, a Serve robot will autonomously pick up orders and dispatch them to a Wing drone’s AutoLoader, located several blocks away, enabling aerial deliveries to customers within a six-mile radius.

The Federal Aviation Administration has recently collaborated with Wing and Zipline to enable beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flights in the skies above Dallas. In 2019, the corporation received its Air Service Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Certified in hand, Wing has launched a commercial drone delivery service, transporting goods from local businesses to properties across the United States.

This revised permit allows the corporation to conduct Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations without requiring visible observers, a capability that Wing has already demonstrated in both Australia and Ireland.

DoorDash’s purpose is to connect people with the things they love, whether that’s a family dinner or a spontaneous food craving, at a speed and convenience that makes sense in today’s fast-paced world.

Wing, a leader in the e-commerce delivery space, has announced its strategic partnership with DoorDash, driven by a shared commitment to providing customers with the convenience and speed of air-based deliveries for their favorite local products and brands. This expansion builds upon pilot programs successfully implemented in Melbourne, Australia, and Christiansburg, Virginia.

Brookfield Properties collaborates with numerous businesses. The True Property Administration Agency has announced plans to explore ways to integrate Wing drone deliveries into its procurement procedures. The initiative aims to unlock the potential of previously untapped spaces, such as rooftops and excess parking areas, thereby enabling businesses to capture new opportunities for doorstep delivery via drones.
