Australia-based digital asset funds administrator has secured regulatory approval from the country’s securities exchange to list its DigitalX Bitcoin ETF.
The Australian Securities Exchange-listed company DCC is set to introduce one of the initial publicly traded spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), providing investors with direct access to the digital asset market.
CEO Lisa Wade announced that the DigitalX Bitcoin ETF (ASX:BTXX) will offer a straightforward, liquid, and regulated platform for investors to gain exposure to the rapidly growing digital asset market without requiring the use of a digital wallet.
“Marking a landmark moment in its evolution, DigitalX’s launch of the DigitalX Bitcoin ETF in Australia represents a major milestone not only for the company but also for the entire Australian digital asset investment landscape.”
“Offering Australians a secure and affordable way to invest in Bitcoin, without the need for digital wallet management, has the potential to revolutionise the industry.”
The ETF will commence trading on Friday, July 12, at 10:00 a.m. EST.
The BTXX will operate as Australia’s first locally domiciled, ASX-listed exchange-traded fund (ETF) offering direct exposure to Bitcoin, backed by enhanced transparency and regulatory compliance.
Listed as a diversified financial services company on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), K2 Investment Management (ASX: KAM) has been appointed as the responsible entity for the exchange-traded fund (ETF).
The international chief in digital asset funding will collaborate with DigitalX to promote and globalize the ETF’s marketing and distribution efforts in Australia and beyond.
As the world’s pioneering blockchain expertise firm and the sole ASX-listed digital asset fund manager, DigitalX holds a unique position in the market.
The company crafts bespoke blockchain solutions for corporate entities, while its asset management arm offers affordable, traditional products for accredited investors seeking exposure to the burgeoning digital assets market, encompassing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
