The F.02’s cameras comprise six RGB sensors, which process visual data from the physical environment and feed it into an AI-powered vision system, enabling the device to accurately identify and understand its surroundings. The delicate design features two embracing figures within a curved panel, surrounded by a harmonious array of intricate details. The Robotic’s capabilities are significantly enhanced by a threefold increase in computational power and AI inference capabilities compared to Gen1, allowing for the seamless execution of real-world AI tasks independently.

A fusion of materials and sleek design elements yields an outer casing that exudes sophistication, clad in a striking gunmetal grey hue. A promo video showcases exceptional articulation, boasting 50 Nm (36.8 lb-ft) of torque in its shoulder joints, capable of moving through an impressive 148-degree range; the knee joint exhibits even more strength, delivering 150 Nm (110.6 lb-ft) with a versatility of 135 degrees, while the hip joint demonstrates remarkable flexibility, generating 150 Nm with a wide-spanning 195-degree movement. The brand-new humanoid robot is now equipped with the latest iteration of human-scale robotic hands, empowering it to perform “a wide range of human-like tasks” thanks to its 16 degrees of freedom and human-equivalent dexterity.

A custom-designed 2.25-kWh battery pack situated within the torso enables a substantial increase in power supply, exceeding 50% gains, although specific figures for per-charge runtime have not been disclosed thus far.

Recently, we’ve observed some notable outcomes resulting from Determine 01’s coaching program at BMW’s manufacturing facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The F.02 humanoid has spent the past few weeks efficiently inserting sheet steel components into specific fixtures, which were then assembled as part of the chassis, while also collecting AI data and training use cases.
