As we speak, I am pleased to announce that Jonathan Davidson has decided to relinquish his current role at Cisco Networking, allowing him to serve as a valued advisor to me in this new capacity. As we integrate our Networking, Safety, and Collaboration teams under a single umbrella, we’re pleased to announce that Jeetu Patel will be leading the charge as Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Cisco, expanding his role to drive strategic innovation across the organization. As we conclude the full integration of Splunk into Cisco, we also intend to consolidate the Splunk product portfolio within this newly formed group at the appropriate moment. Our comprehensive product range will be united under a single umbrella.
This newly formed group will significantly accelerate our product innovation and seamlessly integrate our portfolio offerings like never before. This innovative solution will enable us to provide a more comprehensive, cohesive experience for our clients and partners, ultimately delivering tailored solutions that help them achieve their strategic objectives and fuel business growth.
Over the past four years as a Cisco member, Jeetu has exemplified leadership through personal example, combining his creative vision with an unwavering commitment to driving innovation and executing complex projects at pace. Under his leadership, he and his team have worked relentlessly to revamp and position Cisco’s Safety and Collaboration portfolios for growth and success.
Under Jeetu’s leadership, we’ve witnessed a significant surge in safety development, with the successful implementation of our comprehensive safety strategy powered by the robust Cisco Safety Cloud platform. At the start of this year, we unveiled Cisco Hypershield, a groundbreaking security solution that marks a pivotal moment in our 40-year history, revolutionizing how we approach safety in the era of artificial intelligence. Jeetu’s revival of the collaboration venture has yielded impressive results, with double-digit growth in gadget bookings driven by AI advancements and a customer-centric approach that acknowledges and responds to competitive market offerings. As he spearheads the development of generative AI within our organization’s safety and collaboration frameworks, he brings unique strengths to Webex while shaping the vision for a cohesive AI Assistant across Cisco. Jeetu’s unbridled passion, profound understanding, and unwavering commitment to design and consumer insights uniquely qualify him to lead this newly formed team as its chief.
For over two decades, Jonathan has played a crucial role in Cisco’s achievements, dedicating 22 years of his career to the organization. With a profound conviction in the power of connectivity, he has consistently shown compassion and unwavering commitment to his teams, Cisco’s pioneering spirit, and worldwide communities through his relentless pursuit of providing universal digital access. We are thankful for his several years of leadership.
