At the iconic Indianapolis race, the unpredictable combination of rain and a drying track proved no match for the BMW M Hybrid V8’s superior performance, as its hybrid expertise, combined with expert driving and shrewd strategy, ultimately tipped the scales in its favour.

As they took to their home circuit, just a few kilometers from BMW’s global hub, the team showcased the full extent of the BMW M Hybrid V8’s capabilities. The swift decision to fit slick tyres proved decisive for the hybrid cars, allowing them to maintain their advantage despite being beset by congestion during the final stages of the race.
In the GTD class, Turner Motorsport demonstrated the potency of BMW’s motorsports program, as Robby Foley, Patrick Gallagher, and Jake Walker – all from the United States – piloted the #96 BMW M4 GT3 to a commendable second-place finish. The Paul Miller Racing team’s #1 BMW M4 GT3 car, driven by an American trio comprising Madison Snow, Bryan Sellers, and Neil Verhagen, finished eighth overall within the GTD PRO class.
