Celebrating Twenty Years of Insights: The AWS Information Weblog Turns Two Decades Old? On November 9, 2004, Jeff Bezos revealed. At that point, he started a personal blog on a privately hosted website. He yearned to converse directly with his audience in a personal tone, untainted by the institutional voice.
On April 29, 2014, we successfully launched a new webpage and seamlessly transferred all existing content onto it. With more than 4,300 entries on the AWS Information Weblog to date, an impressive 75% have been authored by Jeff himself.
Since its inception in December 2016, the AWS Information Weblog has expanded to include new writers; yet, our commitment to excellence remains unwaveringly consistent with the original Day One vision. What sets apart the AWS Information Blog is its unique approach, where bloggers gain early access to product features, embodying the principles of Buyer Obsession and Frugality by walking readers through rapid-fire tutorials on how customers can leverage these tools to save time.
I’m deeply grateful for Jeff’s transformative leadership over the past two decades, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunities that await us in the next 20 years.
