I’ve been tracking developments in this field for several years now. Players of varying skill levels utilize the deck of cards to learn about AWS in an engaging and captivating way, pitting themselves against each other to combine their cards into innovative architectures while acquiring knowledge and racking up points along the way.
To date, more than 15,000 units of BuilderCards have been printed and utilized across three re:Invents, 15 AWS Summits, and various local events. Throughout this trip to Tokyo, a group of enthusiastic AWS enthusiasts enjoyed an unforgettable experience.
Gamers’ feedback has yielded impressive results, boasting a remarkable 4.8-star buyer satisfaction rating, garnered through over 1,500 thoughtful responses.
I’m thrilled to announce the release of the second version of AWS BuilderCards, which is now available for immediate online purchase and distribution. Following feedback on our initial draft, we’ve implemented numerous revisions in the latest iteration. Right here’s a abstract:
The revamped design prioritizes the essence of the cardboard, incorporating subtle gradients and textures that heighten the tactile experience and transform the playing cards into an immersive and whimsical treat. The font dimension has been upgraded, with current sports results displayed as intuitive icons, while QR codes seamlessly link to the BuilderCards website.
The game’s mechanics have undergone a comprehensive overhaul to foster greater stability, streamline gameplay, and eradicate lingering biases. These starter playing cards characterise a standard on-premises knowledge hub environment.
The new deck comprises 50 additional BuilderCards crafted to illustrate the harmonious alignment between Generative AI and AWS architecture. The additional features of this add-on pack include a comprehensive set of Mission playing cards. These playing cards provide contextual guidance, featuring QR codes that link to detailed printed finest practices and alternatives. The playing cards are larger in size, boasting additional written information and a visual structural outline. Rewards are offered optionally to gamers, incorporating additional incentives for completing a mission. Each deck includes five pristine BuilderCards and two unblemished Mission cards, fostering a high degree of customization.
