AWS and Multicloud: Leveraging Current Capabilities for Continued Enhancements

As I engage with prominent AWS clients regarding their pain points and concerns, our conversation frequently pivots toward the topic of multicloud strategies. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, clients often opt for a multi-cloud strategy, combining services from various cloud providers alongside on-premise solutions. In certain scenarios, they initiated early, grassroots decisions regarding personnel and organizational structures, opting for cloud-based solutions from multiple providers without a centralized directive. In some cases, another company obtained or combined forces with a similar group, ultimately discovering a comparable multi-supplier scenario.

Regardless of the chosen route, my clients consistently emphasize the necessity of streamlining and consolidating their management and control over their extensive collection of cloud and on-premises assets. Typically, a “multi” state of affairs is inherently temporary, often accompanied by a strategic plan to eventually centralize operations in one location. Typically, shoppers intend to hold onto their diverse investment portfolios.

Our goal with AWS is to help you achieve profitability, regardless of the architectural decisions you’ve already made. To outline our approach, share the valuable capabilities our clients have leveraged over time, and provide an update on the newer service bulletins and content we’ve developed to guide your success.

We aim to enhance our existing AWS proficiency and management skills to effectively support both multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure configurations. As a direct outcome of extending our current capabilities, your investment in coaching, growth, scripting, and runbooks will be preserved and become even more valuable by applying to your diverse non-AWS assets as well? Utilizing the identical service enables seamless patching and replacement of situations, both for on-premises servers as well as those provided by various cloud vendors. Furthermore, utilising these tools enables seamless observation of functions, computation of assets, and management of diverse cloud-based resources across all relevant environments.

Two examples illustrate how we’re putting our strategy into practice for your benefit.

Our webpage showcases additional examples of how our extension-based approach empowers you to unlock new capabilities, alongside compelling case studies from satisfied clients who have successfully leveraged these features in tandem with , and .

Regardless of whether you choose to operate fully on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or leverage its capabilities across multiple cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments, a primary motivation for adopting AWS is the vast array of services it offers, empowering you to innovate, build, deploy, and monitor your workloads with unparalleled flexibility. Since our recent launch of Direct To Outdoors (DTO), our commitment is unwavering: empowering you to thrive in any situation, whether you choose to leverage the capabilities within AWS or extend them beyond our ecosystem with seamless transfers whenever needed.

Now that we’ve established our approach and identified key multicloud offerings, let’s explore some of the most recent advancements in multicloud and hybrid services.

For the reason that starting of 2023 now we have launched eighteen new multicloud capabilities to current AWS providers, together with 15 for information & analytics, 1 for safety, and a pair of for id. The majority of these launches augment the existing multicloud features of their respective suppliers.

The data migration platform seamlessly integrates with multiple storage solutions, facilitating efficient transfer of information across providers. We have expanded our assistance to include not only existing support for Google Cloud Storage, Azure Information, and Azure Blob Storage, but also five additional leading cloud service providers and storage solutions. To gain a deeper understanding of this service, please visit our website or consult with one of our representatives. To start, I set up a supply location:

This cutting-edge information integration service empowers users to seamlessly uncover, consolidate, and merge their comprehensive data at any scale, facilitating streamlined insights and decision-making processes. You’re encouraged to leverage this integration to connect with more than 80 diverse information sources, inclusive of cloud-based databases and analytics platforms. By the end of October 2023, we successfully introduced a groundbreaking tool that enables seamless, two-way data exchange between various platforms, as well as facilitating effortless communication with both individuals and groups. We also introduced six new database connectors to complement our existing offerings, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Salesforce, MongoDB, and Google Analytics (full details available). To gain a deeper understanding of AWS Glue, start by learning its capabilities and limitations. I initiate a clear job flow to kick-start:

This serverless analytics service empowers users to leverage interactive SQL queries, delving into petabyte-scale data where it resides – across multiple cloud storage solutions – without requiring data duplication or transformation. Within the past year, we introduced a cutting-edge information supply connector, empowering users to seamlessly query data within Google Cloud Storage. To gain a deeper understanding of Amazon Athena, explore its documentation and tutorials.

By leveraging the power of information and analytics, you can gain valuable insights with the help of Amazon AppFlow’s connector. To initiate working with Amazon AppFlow, you start by creating a stream and setting up a data source.

This service provides a comprehensive, enterprise-wide perspective on your security stance. The platform aggregates safety data from diverse environments – AWS, SaaS providers, on-premises systems, and cloud sources including Azure and GCP – into a custom-designed data lake for centralized management. Twelve months on, the entity now focuses on compiling and assessing safety data from a vast array of over 80 sources, conforming to the OCSF standard.

This service securely centralizes management of sensitive data, such as database credentials and API keys. Data encryption and storage mechanisms employ robust security measures, including centralised auditing and replication capabilities designed to facilitate seamless disaster recovery across multiple regions. In the past year, we have introduced a new feature. To truly absorb new knowledge, one must first learn.

AWS IAM ID Manager seamlessly integrates. The mixing enables directors to streamline AWS entry management across multiple accounts while providing seamless Google Workspace experiences for end-users during onboarding.

This service empowers users to interrogate, visualize, and set alerts for a diverse range of metrics spanning software, cloud-based infrastructure (AWS), on-premise environments, and hybrid multicloud deployments. At Amazon re:Invent 2023, we significantly expanded our support offerings for developers. This innovative feature allows users to select and customize connectors that retrieve data from various sources, including generic CSV files stored in cloud-based storage services such as Google Drive or Dropbox.

Now that we’ve seen some of our latest multicloud launches in action, let’s take a closer look at the blog posts and other content that my colleagues have developed to help you get the most value from these innovations.
