Beth Flippo, Chief Executive Officer of Drone Categorical, a pioneering aviation company revolutionizing the last-mile logistics landscape by harnessing the power of autonomous flight technology. In 2021, corporations leverage drones to deliver secure, reliable, and environmentally friendly packages autonomously across the nation to customers. They have established key national partnerships with industry leaders such as The Kroger Company, Papa John’s International, Winsupply, and other prominent retailers. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has officially accepted its new Half 135 utility program. Upon completion, Drone Categorical becomes one of only a handful of companies authorized to conduct beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) deliveries in the United States. On September 13, Drone Categorical successfully launched its BVLOS delivery service in Winston-Salem.

Beth is a highly accomplished embedded engineer with more than two decades of experience in both the financial and technology sectors. Beth has a proven track record in designing and developing cutting-edge cellular communication solutions, while her passion for robotics and unmanned systems continues to drive her innovative spirit. Prior to founding Drone Express, she served as Vice President of Embedded Software Development at TELEGRID Technologies, leveraging her expertise to shape the company’s software growth strategy.

In the midst of New York City’s vibrant financial landscape, she launched her career by crafting sophisticated programs for quantitative trading and financial analysis, specifically for equity transactions on the iconic New York Stock Exchange. Her expertise encompasses prestigious institutions including UBS PaineWebber, Cantor Fitzgerald, and Goldman Sachs. Beth graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science at Binghamton University. As a licensed drone pilot with the FAA, she holds a valid Federal Aviation Administration certification, complemented by her radio operator licence, W2QNB, issued by the Federal Communications Commission.
