Apple’s rumored six-inch ‘AI-powered Pill’ may manage your smart home by March 2025?

The rumoured iPad-like device is expected to launch as early as next March, boasting a 6-inch display with notable bezels, an integrated camera, rechargeable battery, and speakers, according to Gurman. The plan is to leverage Siri and Apple’s advanced artificial intelligence capabilities for seamless voice command management.

If credible sources are accurate, Apple’s forthcoming update is poised to introduce a unified framework for managing HomeKit-enabled devices, including lighting systems, security cameras, sensors, and temperature control units, among others. According to renowned supply-chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple may be planning to expand its HomeKit ecosystem by introducing a broader range of compatible products.

Apple has allegedly developed multiple prototypes for its latest iteration, enabling it to be mounted on a wall or placed on a countertop via a stand accompanied by an enhanced audio system. The device is said to run on a new operating system that combines elements of the Apple Watch’s interface and the iPhone’s recently introduced Standby mode.

The show allegedly utilises sensors to monitor an individual’s proximity to the display screen, enabling it to adjust its content accordingly based on the viewer’s distance. Apple’s streaming service is reportedly poised to enhance its Handoff feature, enabling seamless continuity of tasks across various devices.

According to reports, the device is expected to be available in both silver and black colour options. Additionally, Gurman claims that Apple is working on a feature that will enable the screen to tilt and spin. Despite sending a request for reconsideration to Apple, they failed to respond promptly.
