Apple’s Passwords app: Use it to prevent password waste and excess storage.

Apple’s newly launched Passwords app simplifies the process of securely storing login credentials for all your apps, enables seamless adoption of passkeys, and facilitates collaboration with shared groups.

For years, iCloud Keychain has efficiently stored and managed your passwords, streamlining online security with seamless password syncing across all your devices. When you’ve needed to copy a password from the system to enter on another PC, you had to navigate to Settings and then discover how. The subpar performance of Apple’s password manager deterred many users from leveraging its capabilities. With the dedicated Passwords app on iOS 18, you can easily add it to your Home Screen for quick access.

The era of relying on a single password across multiple online accounts has come to an end. Apple’s password manager is free, seamlessly synchronizes across all devices (), and features an incredibly intuitive user interface. It generates robust passwords and automatically fills them in, ensuring you never have to.
