Apple’s Digital Wallet Card Now Available for Canadian and Australian Users

Apple introduced its Apple Cash debit card to the US market for a second time in 2022. With the release of iOS 17.6, the Pockets app will expand its services to Canada and Australia, marking a significant milestone two years after its initial rollout.

Within the Pockets app, the Apple Account card provides a quick glance at your Apple account balance, enabling you to make payments for purchases on the App Store and online at the Apple Store. To make a purchase at an Apple Store, you’ll need to bring a credit card and use the self-service kiosk or visit a Genius Bar. This small digital keepsake is a delightful addition to the Pockets app.

Notified by users, the coveted card is now accessible in Canada and Australia, provided that your iOS device meets a minimum requirement of version 17.6. Prior to this expansion, the feature was previously exclusive to the US and Japan markets.

Prior to the launch of Apple Cash Card, Apple provided iTunes Gift Cards. The Apple Account Card simplifies the purchase process at the Apple Store by allowing customers to make transactions via contactless payment, streamlining interactions and eliminating the need for employees to scan QR codes.

The Apple Account Card can be arranged relatively easily. To add an Apple Card in Pockets, open the app and tap the “+” button, followed by “Add Obtainable Cards” under the “Obtainable Playing Cards” section. Before adding this card for the first time, you likely need to establish stability in your Apple account.
