With Wi-Fi telephone charging enabled by Apple’s MagSafe magnetic technology, the era of clunky power banks has given way to a sleeker, more portable charging experience.
It’s not necessary to lug a cumbersome cable around just to connect your phone to a power bank, but it is crucial to secure the battery pack firmly to your device rather than having it dangle loosely from the strap as you try to disconnect its substantial weight from the loop.
One drawback to wireless charging is its relatively slow pace. While many energy banks claim to be MagSafe compatible, they often fall short of being fully certified, settling for a slower 7.5W charging speed instead of the more robust 15W offered by licensed devices. Several exceptions exist – the A-series and C-series employ the Qi2 wireless charging technology, making them standout portable powerbanks, with the 10,000mAh variant being a particular favourite of ours.
Charging with old-school cables is significantly faster, theoretically capable of reaching speeds of up to 240 watts. An iPhone cannot – certainly won’t – settle for that much power, but it can handle around 30W at most. Samsung’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology enables some of its smartphones to rapidly charge at up to 45W, significantly outpacing Apple’s current wireless charging capabilities.
You can potentially get 30W fast charging on your iPhone, but this is only achievable through a wired connection rather than wireless. It’s generally advisable to always have a backup credit card and a spare phone charging cable on hand. Despite its name, the Anker Zolo 10K Magnetic Energy Bank boasts a versatile charging system, featuring two simultaneous charging modes: rapid 7.5W wireless charging and swift 30W wired replenishment.
The accessory features a MagSafe-compatible Wi-Fi charging pad and includes a built-in USB-C cable that enables fast charging capabilities for iPhone 15 and 16 users, providing effortless access to double-speed charging power.

You can magnetically attach your iPhone (starting from iPhone 12 models) to the Zolo energy bank, effortlessly wirelessly charging at a maximum rate of 7.5W just like with any standard MagSafe power bank.
Owners of the iPhone 15 or 16 can take advantage of the Zolo’s integrated USB-C port, which allows for faster charging at up to 30W. When you double-click the power button on your ability financial institution to initiate wireless charging, it unexpectedly disables Wi-Fi charging and instead starts a 30W wired charge via the inserted USB-C cable. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to retrieve each 30 watts from the cable and the 7.5 watts from the Wi-Fi pad.
You can recharge the power financial institution itself via the built-in USB-C cable, eliminating the need to carry a separate charger during travel.
While iPhone users with models older than the 15 series may be unable to access the native wired charging speed, they can still utilize the same cable to charge their device’s power bank via a wall adapter. When customers upgrade to a USB-C phone, the USB-C cable will seamlessly transition between input and output modes.

For homeowners of iPhones dated prior to the iPhone 15 or teams featuring a mix of older and newer models, consider the non-magnetic option, which comes equipped with both built-in 30W USB-C and Lightning cables, as depicted above. Unfortunately, there’s no Wi-Fi option available at this power bank.
The Magnetic Zolo Energy Power Bank’s clever design features a robust 5.5-inch braided USB-C cable that neatly retracts into the power bank’s body when not in use, safeguarding it against damage while simultaneously forming a convenient carrying loop.
Anker’s Zolo Magnetic 10K Energy Financial Institution stands out as one of the first MagSafe battery packs to feature a conveniently integrated USB-C cable, making it an attractive option for those seeking seamless power delivery. Since unboxing it, the magnetic battery pack has earned a special place in our hearts as our go-to choice for powering our devices. The earbuds include a built-in 5.5-inch cable featuring a thicker rubber design, distinct from the braided option offered by Zolo. While the Anker holds advantages in certain respects, as will be discussed subsequently, the competition from Baseus is fierce, with a 15W Qi2 wireless charging feature that gives it a strong edge.

Extra port energy
Like the Baseus energy banks, the Zolo features a spare USB-C port, allowing you to simultaneously charge the power bank itself or connect another cable to charge a second device. The box may also include another USB-C to USB-C cable for newer devices, a Lightning cable for older iPhones and compatible Apple products, or a charging adapter specifically designed for the Apple Watch.
With this feature, you can seamlessly charge your financial institution via the spare port simultaneously as you’re powering your iPhone using the built-in USB-C cable.
In reality, you could spend the equivalent of three gadgets at once with the Zolo. Both the USB-C cable and the spare USB-C port are capable of delivering up to 30 watts of power via a wired connection. When simultaneously using multiple charging levels, note that the power bank’s total output is reduced to 15W.
The device or included USB-C cable enables rapid recharging of the power bank at 20W, slightly faster than the 18W speed offered by the original Baseus model, but not as quick as the 30W charging capability found on the Baseus Nomos.

The outstanding performer in our comprehensive battery evaluation process.
With a massive battery capacity of 37Wh (approximately 10,000mAh), the Anker Zolo truly boasts an impressive power reserve. This device utterly surpasses 5,000mAh battery packs, including all 10K energy banks we’ve reviewed so far, and even outperforms our previous favorite, the Baseus Magnetic Energy Bank, which it matches in terms of both wired and wireless charging speed.
The Baseus Energy Financial Institution successfully recharged our test iPhone 15 Pro to a remarkable 187 percent, while also achieving an impressive 188 percent capacity with the Anker MagGo 10K Slim. The Zolo soared to a remarkable 191%, securing its spot atop the prestigious podium. Despite its impressive wireless capabilities – 15W Wi-Fi, 45W wired, and 30W fast charging – the Baseus Nomos’ performance fell short in efficiency tests, achieving a respectable but ultimately lower score of 166%.
These outcomes may have been closed, with various components potentially having received or mislaid a few proportion factors. We compared the Zolo with a 16 Professional to its predecessor, a 15 Professional. The match likely ends in a stalemate, allowing Zolo to claim victory and the glory that comes with it.
We tested the iPhone’s battery life by depleting it to 2%, then utilized the power bank to recharge it back to 100%. We then recharge the phone by running the car battery down once more until the ability financial institution is depleted.

Anker
Dimension and design
While measuring 4.15 inches long by 2.7 inches wide by 0.8 inches thick, the Anker Zolo slightly lags behind the Baseus in size, its dimensions being a fraction smaller at 4.3 inches by 2.7 inches by 0.8 inches. Compared to the lighter options from Baseus – the 7.5W, weighing in at 7.3oz, or their 15W counterpart at 8.1oz – this product stands out with its substantial weight of 8.5oz.
While larger than typical 10K energy banks, neither of these rivals the sleekness of the Anker MagGo 10K Slim, which, notably, omits a 30W wired charging option.
The Zolo features an integrated USB-C cable with a uniquely designed right-angled connector that seamlessly matches beneath the phone, providing a tidy and clutter-free experience.
What sets the Zolo apart from the standard Baseus is its integrated kickstand, which operates seamlessly in both portrait and landscape modes. While The Nomos watch does boast an innovative feature in its kickstand design,
The Zolo energy financial institution is available in four colors: green, blue, red, or purple. Discovering the one-of-a-kind Baseus in a palette of three distinct colours: white, black, or rose.
Anker Zolo vs the remaining

To gain a comprehensive understanding, explore our in-depth analysis of the.
It’s closest rival could potentially pose a significant threat. While the Zolo prices may slightly surpass those of the Baseus Magnetic Energy Bank, their comparable values, charging capacity, and measurements make them effectively on par when considering their built-in USB-C cables. Whether it ultimately boils down to a decision between the bold pink and calming peppermint blue options or the cleverly designed kickstand on the Anker device.
Although the Baseus Nomos Energy Financial Institution excels in both enter and output charging speeds, it fell short in our rigorous battery tests.
